SUBJECT 24 HOUR VIGIL FOR THE MIA-POW OF ALL WARS
A 24 HOUR VIGIL BY THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA AS A SHOW OF RESPECT.
STARTS WITH A SIMPLE CEREMONY AT APPROX 5 P.M. ON THE 16th.
THE VETERAN GROUPS WILL SUPPLY SOUP AND HOT DOGS FOR SUPPER.
A T SUNDOWN THE SCOUTS PATROL IN V ACINITY OF THE MAIN MONUMENT AS
SINGLES OR IN PAIRS WALKING AT A SLOW PACE FOR HALF TO ONE HOUR INTERVALS.
SCOUT LEADERS WILL BE IN STRICT CONTROL AT ALL TIMES AS TIllS IS A SOLEMN VIGIL.
TENTS WILL BE ERECTED ON THE PARK GREEN AREAS AND NO GAMES ARE TO BE PLA YEO
TIllS MAY SOUND EASY AND WHEN THERE ARE MANY SCOUTS IT WILL BE. IT'S A LONG
NIGHT BUT THE SPITITUAL REWARD FOR THOSE WHO ATTEND WILL BE GREAT.
BREAKFAST SHOULD BE BAGELS AND A DRINK HOPEFULLY MILK OR H.C.
VIGIL ENDS WlTIl A CEREMONY AT 10 AM BY THE SCOUTS AND VETERANS.
TIllS WAS STARTED MORE THAN 25 YEARS AGO ON LONG ISLAND IN A PARK SUCH AS
OURS AND CONTINUES TODAY.

VETERANS' HISTORICAL TOURS
The Boynton Veterans' Council and the City of Boynton
Beach are about to begin tours, for school children, of one
of the most beautiful Veterans' Memorial Parks in the
State of Florida.
At 10:00 AM, on April 1 , 2011, St. Mark's Catholic School
students will tour Veterans' Bicentennial Park, at 411
North Federal Highway, Boynton Beach, Florida.
Our Veterans' Bicentennial Park has monuments to wars
since World War I, and by year's end, will be complete to
Afghanistan.
A veteran will discuss each monument and the war it
represents.
