Each year the Avenue of the Arts gets strong media attention, group tours, a video is produced and aired on local cable television, a brochure is printed and distributed, visuals are submitted to the Florida Association of Public M Professionals Year in Review conference presentation. The artwork Ican d pict the theme "Coastal Life" and vitilize the Avenue in between the new projects that are under construction by the :Com unity Redevelopment Agency. The artwork can relate to the Amphitheater Intracoastal Mangrove Estuary Public Art IProje ,t, the Boynton Harbor Marina, Boynton Beach's history, the Intracoastal Waterway, Boynton's close proximately to ,the ulf Stream or our rich marine industry and cultural heritage.The artwork should hold up to the outdoor Florida ,envir nment for the year long display. The artists may consider more than one artwork site or create a site-specific install tion that addresses this theme. This is a perfect program for professional artists to gain public art experience. Aven e sites can accommodate artwork up to 15' x 6' x 10' (large pads) and 10' x 4' x 6' (small pads.) I We req ire that you submit the following both digitally and in printed formats. Include your contact information (name, ddress, phone, cell number, email and web site addresses); resume (2 page maximum); artist bio (500 word aximum), artwork title; material; retail price; dimensions and weight, including base dimensions and I methods for installation along with a detailed base diagram. Submission Requirements: n a CD or USB drive submit images with dimensions no smaller tha 4 inches and no larger than 10 inches with common aspect ratio si es preferred. JPEG or PNG format, 150 DPI minimum, 300 DPI aximum. (Save JPEG as maximum size.) Number and name the im ges with artist's name: i.e, lastname.jpeg (smith1.jpg; smith2.jpg, tc.). Text files can be provided as Word document, rtf, or Pages document file formats saved on the CD or USB drive. Printed images can be made directly from computer or color copies. Then select one concept and fabricate the concept into a functional Kinetic Art project. Kinetic Art concepts and fabricated Kinetic Art project will be a featured on display at the International Kinetic Art Exhibit and Symposium. Two educational partners will be selected; a university and K-12. To maximize this project it is desirous to collaborate with interdepartmental curriculum to create and fabricate a Kinetic Art project since this art form includes many educational disciplines.
