the winds restrained the winds and

become a term used to describe a
peaceful time. Its proper meaning is
that of a lucky break, or a bright
interval in the midst of adversi
The Magic Canoe",An old legend with
many variations, this sculpture
represents the canoe with a "magic
rudder" plying through the waves.
Perhaps this particular canoe carries a
mythical princess bringing us, or our
ancestors, life's necessities such as
fire. Since we live by the ocean, we I
