R94-~',~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND LaRUE PLANNING & MANAGEMENT SERVICES, PROVIDING FOR ON-SITE INTERIM MANAGEMENT SERVICES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City to enter into an Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach and LaRue Planning & Management Services, providing for on-site interim management services, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach and LaRue Planning & Management Services, providing for on- site interim management services, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A". This proposal for on-site management services shall be for an interim period of time beginning sometime in May and lasting through the ~ummer or until such time as my services ar~ no longer needed. In general, thc services shall bc for management advice and assistance including, but not limited to amistance that I can give you in terms of budget preparation, including review of staff submittals, assistance that would be focused on planning and zoning items or issues, and I will assist you in the selec, tion ott a new full time-Assistant City Manager for Boynton Beach. Specifically, the management services will be provided on-site, in Boynton Beach, at a minimum of t~'o (2} days per week, For computation purposes, a working day would consist of eight (8) hours. Financial consideration shall b~ as foilow~: Jim LaRue shall be paid at a rate of seven~-flve ($75.00) per hour. This hourly rate excludes a~y of thc City of Boynton Beach trinse benefit.
