Subject: Greetings!
Dear Mrs. Claude:
It is such an honor for me today to thank you and wish you the best as well as a Happy New
Year. In case if you don't quite remember me, I am Ludnie and I was nominated the Bob Borovy
Student Citizen of The Year 2011.
I am very thankful to you and the scholarship's committee; because of you all, my dreams have
started to become true.
Last year, as I was ready to graduate from Boynton Beach Community High School, I did not
have a clue on how I was going to pursue a post - secondary degree. This scholarship opportunity
made it happen. I was so unsure whether I was going to school or not that I literally applied at
Palm Beach State College four weeks before class started.
I just graduated from PBSC with my Associate in Arts degree the 19th of December, and I will
be pursuing my Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting over at FAU this upcoming
January.
Since I'm the one who pays for my tuition, the award was more than helpful at first; that's also
what got me started. Now, I try to maintain two jobs while being a full time student. I don't
volunteer quite often as I used to, but I definitely try to stop by Boulevard Manor Nursing &
Rehab Center for a few hours once in a while.
Thanks again for everything.
My sincere greetings and salutations go to you and to the whole staff.
Happy New Year!!!
Regards,
Ludnie Mauretour
