QUANTUM ECO -PARK
The Park. The CONCEPT (11/15/2012)
Proposed by Quantum Develop District, per letter to Boynton Beach Commission:
1. Turn over Sand Pine Preserve to the city for the express purpose of combing it
with existing adjacent undeveloped city park. The Recreation and Parks advisory
board has already designated that park as a priority development.
a. Funding. Along with the acreage comes drainage funding which would be used
for part of the development.
b. The existing 501 C3 Corporation can be used to raise funds. 3a. It has been
suggested that a swap be made with the PBA for the facility on Miner road which
would automatically give the park a gated facility and parking. (Perhaps the
Boynton Beach High School ?)
c. A launching ramp could be installed at the NE corner, there are county funds
available for that.
d. The proposed bicycle path along the canal may carry some funding.
(apply for stimulus $$ for PBA +HS)
Quantum District and Quantum Property Owners Association voted in favor of this
at the past combined meeting on 11/06/2012.
Charles E. Kanter, President, Parkside HOA attended the meeting and represented
Parkside in favor of the development.
