3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
4 OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A CONTRACT
5 WITH RESOURCE ACTION PROGRAMS IN THE AMOUNT OF
6 $44,000.00 FOR THE DELIVERY OF THEIR WATERWISE
7 CONSERVATION PROGRAM TO ALL 5 GRADE STUDENTS
8 AT SCHOOLS WITHIN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH;
9 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
10 CONTRACT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

13 WHEREAS, the WaterWise program educates all 5th grade students in the City's
14 service area on the importance of water conservation and emphasizes the positive impact of
15 small changes in water use habits; and
16 WHEREAS, upon recommendation of staff, the City Commission has determined
17 that it is in the best interests of the residents of the City to enter into a Contract with
18 Resource Action Programs in the amount of $44,000.00 for the delivery of their WaterWise
19 Conservation Program for all 5 grade students at schools within the City of Boynton Beach
20 during fiscal year 2013 -2014.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
22 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
23 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
24 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
25 hereof.
26 Section 2. The City Commission hereby approves a Contract with Resource
27 Action Programs in the amount of $44,000.00 for the delivery of their WaterWise
28 Conservation Program to all 5 grade students at schools within the City of Boynton Beach.
29 Section 3. Authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Resource
30 Action Programs, a copy of which is attached hereto as "Exhibit A."

1 Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
