I have candidates who have opened their accounts and are anxious to get their petitions signed. Our qualifying period does not begin until noon on January 28, 2014 and it closes at noon on February 11, 2014. Attached is a copy of Sec. 2 -42 of the City of Boynton Beach Code of Ordinances that requires each candidate to file petitions signed by at least 25 duly qualified voters of the City. Our candidates are being instructed to have this certification completed at your West Palm Beach office and pay the cost of 10if per name from their campaign accounts. Although the money reporting is correct, there are some errors on the report that requirement an amendment to be filed. The errors are as follows: • On the "Campaign Treasurer's Report Summary ", you need to include the Report Code which is 2014 -G3. • On the Itemized Contributions Sheets, you need to include the occupations of the businesses that have contributed $100 or more. Some of them are missing. Also, the Contribution Types are missing from three of the entries. • The Sequence Numbers are missing from both the Itemized Contributions and Itemized Expenditures. • On the Itemized Expenditures, the Purpose of the expenditures is missing and needs to be added. 1 I have attached blank forms for you to use to prepare the amendment.
