The video explained the safe way to discard batteries. Even a nine -volt battery can start a fire. This battery has two terminals and it is not difficult to short the terminal and a fire begins. Many individuals keep batteries in drawers at home. Electrical tape should be put over the battery terminals to avoid an item hitting two terminals and sparking. The same hazard can occur while camping and with single terminal batteries. Home Depot and the Solid Waste Division in Lantana are approved battery disposal sites.
