Minutes 03-13-14 MINUTES OF THE CEMETERY BOARD MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, MARCH 13, 2014, AT 3:30 P. M. IN COMMISSION CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 100 E. BOYNTON BEACH BLVD, BOYNTON BE FLORIDA PRESENT: Karilyn Norem Hohner, Chair Janet Prainito, Secretary William Bone Bonnie Glinski Claudia Stine 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair Hohner called the meeting to order at 3:34 p.m. 2. ATTENDANCE Ms. Prainito called the roll. She noted Parks Division Staff was not present at the meeting. 3. AGENDA APPROVAL Ms. Prainito added approval of a request for disinurnment for Decedent Joseph H. Delaney, from Serenity Building, Section E, Niche G -4. She advised all the paperwork is in order. Motion Ms. Glinski moved to approve the agenda as amended. Ms. Stine seconded the motion that unanimously passed. The request would be heard as New Business, Item F. 4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — December 12, 2013 Motion Ms. Glinski moved to approve the minutes. Mr. Bone seconded the motion that unanimously passed. 5. RECEIPT OF REVENUE /EXPENSE SHEETS — December, 2013, January February 2014 Motion Ms. Glinski moved to accept. 'Mr. Bone seconded the motion that unanimously passed. Meeting Minutes Cemetery Board Boynton Beach, FL March 13, 2014 Ms. Glinski inquired about how long the money would last. Ms. Prainito did not know. She agreed to research the matter and either send a response or put it on the next agenda. Ms. Prainito seconded the motion that unanimously passed. 6. RECEIPT OF SALES REPORTS — December 2013, January & February 2014 Motion Ms. Glinski moved to accept. Ms. Prainito seconded the motion that unanimously passed. 7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None. 8. NEW BUSINESS A. Parks Division Reports — December 2013, January & February 2014 Motion Ms. Prainito moved to accept. Ms. Stine seconded the motion that unanimously passed. B. Status Report on Gate Closure Chair Hohner suggested Items B, C and D be tabled as no one from the Parks Department was available. Motion Ms. Prainito moved to table Items B, C and D. Ms. Stine seconded the motion that unanimously passed. C. Status Report on raising markers This item was tabled. D. Report on the Cabbage Palm This item was tabled. E. Approve the request from Patricia Kahlert to transfer Lot 109A, Block W, Boynton Beach Memorial Park to Nancy T. McCabe and Kevin L. McCabe (All paperwork is in order) 2 Meeting Minutes Cemetery Board Boynton Beach, FL March 13, 2014 Motion Ms. Glinski moved to approve the request. Mr. Bone seconded the motion that unanimously passed. Later in the meeting, Ms. Glinski pointed out the request was to transfer of Lots 109 A and B. Motion Ms. Glinski amended her motion to reflect the change. Mr. Bone agreed to the change. The motion unanimously passed. F. Request for disinurnment for Decedent Joseph H. Delaney Motion Ms. Prainito moved to approve. Mr. Bone seconded the motion. Chair Hohner abstained from voting due to a conflict of Interest. Her business associate was involved in the disinurnment. She filled out form 813 which is attached to the minutes. The motion unanimously passed. 9. OTHER Chair Hohner requested adding a discussion of landscaping to the next agenda. Ms. Stine noted the Board had tabled the Revenue and Mausoleum Reports two meetings ago. There had been discussion about erecting a new Mausoleum, looking for property and using Little League Park, but the matter was tabled. After brief dialogue, there was agreement to add expansion of the Mausoleum to the next agenda. 10. ADJOURNMENT Motion There being no further business to discuss, Ms. Prainito moved to adjourn. Ms. Glinski seconded the motion that unanimously passed.
