3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
4 AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY'S CODE OF
5 ORDINANCES, ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION ", BY
6 ABOLISHING THE FINANCIAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE;
7 DELETING ARTICLE XVIII, "FINANCIAL ADVISORY
8 COMMITTEE" IN ITS ENTIRETY; RESCINDING ORDINANCE
9 10 -009, ORDINANCE 11 -012 AND ORDINANCE 12 -005;
10 PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY
11 AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

15 WHEREAS, the City Commission has evaluated the continuing needs which gave rise
16 to the creation of the Financial Advisory Committee which was created via Ordinance No. 10-
17 009; and
18 WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that the Financial Advisory
19 Committee has fulfilled the initial objectives of the City Commission and that additional
20 review tasks can now be efficiently handled by the City Administration and City Commission.
21 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
22 OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:

24 Section 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
25 as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Ordinance upon adoption
26 hereof.
27 Section 2. Chapter 2, entitled "Administration ", of the City of Boynton Beach
28 Code of Ordinances is hereby amended by specifically deleting Article XVIII, Financial
29 Advisory Committee in its entirety.
30 Section 3. Ordinance 10 -009, Ordinance 11 -012 and Ordinance 12 -005 are hereby
31 rescinded.

1 Section 4. It is the intention of the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach
2 that the provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a part of the Code of
3 Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and that the Sections of this Ordinance
4 may be renumbered, re- lettered and the word "Ordinance" may be changed to "Section,"
5 "Article ", or such other word or phrase in order to accomplish such intention.
6 Section 5. If any clause, section, or other part or application of this Ordinance
7 shall be held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such
8 unconstitutional or invalid part or application shall be considered as eliminated and so not
9 affecting the remaining portions or applications remaining in full force and effect.
10 Section 6. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances, Resolutions or parts of
11 Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such
12 conflict.
13 Section 7. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
14 adoption.
