R15-080 1 RESOLUTION NO. R15 -080 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A PROPOSED MUNICIPAL MILLAGE RATE FOR GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET PURPOSES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015 -2016, STATING A ROLLED -BACK RATE, AND SETTING FORTH THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE OF THE FIRST • PUBLIC HEARING; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, 11 CONFLICTS AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 11 1• 1 WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(2)(b) it is the responsibility of the 14 Municipality's governing body to advise the Property Appraiser of its, proposed millage rate, 1 rolled back millage rate, and the date, time and place of the first public hearing at which the 1 proposed millage rate and tentative budget will be considered. 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 1 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 1' Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 21 sets a proposed millage rate of 7.9000 which has been computed to fund the General 21 Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2015 -16. The rolled -back rate is 7.3762. 2 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 23 sets September 3, 2015 at 6:30 P.M., at Boynton Beach City Hall, 100 East Boynton Beach 24 Boulevard, as the date, time and place of the first public hearing to consider the proposed 25 millage rate and the tentative budget. 2. Section 3. The City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby 2 authorized to execute and submit DR -420 Certification of Taxable Value to the Palm Beach 28 County Property Appraiser's Office. 2 • Section 4. If any clause, section, or other part of this Resolution shall be held by S: \CC \WP\Resolutions\2015\R15 -080 - Proposed Millage 2015- 16.Doc 1 any Court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutional or 2 invalid part shall be considered as eliminated and in no way affecting the validity of the other 3 provisions of this Resolution. 4 Section 5. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby 5 repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 6.
