Tereesa Padgett, City Clerk Mayor Michael called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The Invocation was given by Father Vann, and the Flag Salute was led by "Youth Mayor" Ernie Gilmer. Presentation of Certificates to ~articipants "~uth in C~over~._~ent- Faayor Michael stepped down from the dais, congratulated ar~ presented each student from Boynton Beach J~. High School with a Certificate for Government Day". their participation in "Youth in Kay Matheny, presented the Mayor & Council with a booklet which had been prepared by the students outlining their impressions and opinions of the Ci=y position they held for the day~ and eXpressed the appreciation of the students to the City Council. W. 27~ Way, expressed his Objection to ~e parking of trailers in a residential area. Page Ho. 3 F. Lo Waliaoe, 2830 S. W. 9th St. stated he was in favor of trailers being parked on residential property. Dwigh~ F~noe~u, 727 S. Palm Drive, voiced his approval of trailers b~lng parked on private property. Mrs. Emily Jackson, 728 N. E. 9th Avenue expressed her approval of the City Council being elected "at rather than by districts, large" Robert Beyrer, Executive Council Chairman of Sterling Village, requested t~e Council to ask the State Road Department to approve at /sase three access roads for Highway 1-55, without e~rpense to the taxpayers of the City. Mills Balfry, 165 Flamingo Drive, suggested the City Council Up,ate the present Trailer Ordinance. Hrs. NEW BUSINESS: Correspondence: The City Cl~k read a letter received from the American Legion Cline-Pautseh Post No. 164 in which they req%~ested the Council and all civic minded citizens to participate in the ~ . - Lemor!al Day Parade this year.
