1341. 35" wide depending on point of view. The sculpture is made
of all aluminum components welded at all contact points.
Simulated stone and cloud graphic air brushed and sealed
with clear coat including UV protection.

The cost for the project will not exceed $3700.
. '; This sculpture will be installed 3 to 5 weeks after approval
and go ahead from customer. Given the construction currently
- under way the piece would not be installed until it is safe from
construction vehicles and activity.
.;'' , __ This sculpture represents a strange occurrence over a mountain
in Arizona on February 28, 1963 as covered by Time Magazine
a -° !a. i in May of the same year. A cloud indentical to the one portrayed

I remained for several hours. Many, including the Bride of Christ
,z { '` ` congregation, believe that this event marked the beginning of the
'` t end of times described in The Holy Bible.
N.E. 15T STREET i The sculpture will be installed by means of a base plate

Dan Matthews is a local artist who has lived in Central and South Florida most of his life. He was born in
Des Moines, Iowa in 1959. Drawing and painting wildlife began at a very early age. I remember back in
the early 70's my parents taking us to the Boynton Inlet several times a week to fish or play in the surf.
was also an avid bass and bluegill fisherman while growing up. I started drawing large mouth bass while
in grade school," Dan says. "In high school I learned to paint with watercolor, and I think that was the first
time I thought about making money as an artist."
After high school, he made a trip to Alaska for the summer to earn a scolarship for college. "I had planned
on just staying for the summer, and it turned into 8 years." There he was introduced to Fly- Fishing. "Fly
fishing for trout and salmon in Alaska was an exprience that has shaped my life," say's Dan.
After moving back to Florida, he was introduced to the airbrush. "I have painted everything from scuba
tanks to gun stocks to custom hot rods, hundreds of motorcycle parts to helicopters and airplanes. Since
1989 he has been satisfying repeat customers with his hand signed Matthews originals.

I am really encouraged to participate in an exhibit in the City. I'd be interested in
exploring the City Library with the idea of promoting it by having some smaller images
at the new Marriott Towne Place Suites.
As you know I do Underwater Photographs on Canvas. Some are whimsical and literal
like the glamour and fashion series seen on the website: http: //
www.harrymartinunderwater.com /
Others are more abstract like the following series in Turquoise: http: //
martindigitalmedia .com /Turquoise/
There is also a more edgier collection from the "Fifty Shades of Amy" series which,
knowing Marriott would be a little too over the top. Take a look anyway if you like, yes
it's "Safe for Work" - all have appeared on Facebook. http: / /martindigitalmedia.com/
JohnStrauss/
Here's a video of how we do the shoots as well:
https://vimeo.com/129706671
The images are as large as 24 x 36 (vertical /portrait). There are also some that are 24 x
24,20 x 20, 16 x 20. The smaller sizes are 11 x 14,8 x 10 - those I usually put on plate
racks or hang. All are unframed canvases.
