In the absence of City Clerk, Tereesa Padgett, and Deputy City Clerk,
Callie Ctanton~ the council authorized Helen Mabus to sit in on the
meeting.
Mayor Michael trolled to order the special meeting of ~ednesday,
October 25th as authorized by the signatures of four council members,
Michael Vo Michael~ '~nomas .A. S~mmers, Leonard E. NytBnd, and A. Clyde
Worrell~ Jr. ~ and requested that the records show that Councilman Collins
was absent, and that a motion was needed to call the ~eeting.
Mr. Ny!und moved that we go into special session. Motion seconded by
Mr. Womreli and unanimously passed.

~u~muer.sne recommendations o~ the Road Planning Committee regarding
±-~D.g~a~e c~ossings and interchanges to be presented at a spec/al
mee~.in~ ~f th~ ~o~d P~anning.Committee and the State ~oad Department
on £nu~s~ay~ october 26th and to present to them the wishes of the
City and the purpose of this spe~/al meetin~ was to accomplish same.
Discussion held. A Resolution would be heeded from Council to show
that we wanted an Interchange at 15th Ave.~ a Grade separation at
25rd South, and a Grade Separation and Interchange at Ocean ~venue
and 2nd Avenue. Also that we recommend 22nd Ave. North rather than
17th Avenue North as a Grade Separation, and for a tentative Grade
Separation at 2nd Ave. and Ocean Avenue.
P~. Summers moved that we draw up a Resolution an~pr~sent it to
Mr. He~y E. %~nompson, Chairman of the Road Planning Committee, re-
commenG~ng our acceptance of their plan as presented to the City Council
and that
~=~.~ report be made a part of the Resolution including the
map showing the proposed recommendations.
Motion seconded by Mr. Worrell. Unanimously carried.
Mayor Michael stated that another Resolution would be needed to be
sent to the State Road Department requesting that they do all in their
power to eY~edite [he problem of 4-1aning"2nd Avenue in regard to the
Post Office site r~ght-of-~y..
Mr. Wormell moved that we dr~w up this Resolution. Seconded an~ unani-
mously carmied.

contract which would be temminating on Novembe~ tst. D/scussion held
regarding this matte~ and it was decided to keep the special meeting
fo~ just What-~ was called for: since the~e was time to b~ing up the
B~iny Bmeezes ~c~t~aet at the next %~o~kshop session which ~uld be
on October
There being no fu~the~ business~ it was moved that the meeting be
adjourned. Seconded and passed~ meeting adjourned at 2:30 P.M.
