A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION R15 -136 WHICH
CREATED A COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY ADVISORY BOARD; ESTABLISHING
PROCEDURES FOR APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL
OF MEMBERS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission created the Community Redevelopment Advisory
Bard ( "CRAB ") to provide input to the City Commission regarding matters related to the
City's Community Redevelopment Agency; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission, following input from members of the CRAB, the
executive director of the CRA, the City Manager and members of the public, has determined
th:7t the CRAB should serve in an advisory role to the Community Redevelopment Agency as
well as the City Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are true and correct and
hereby ratified and confirmed by the City Commission. Resolution R15 -136 is amended
as follows.

include but not be limited to, matters concerning land use and design regulations and
Section 3. The Advisory Board will be comprised of seven (7) individuals with
experience, education, or skills as determined necessary by the City Commission. Any
person may be appointed to the Advisory Board if he or she resides or is engaged in
business, which means owning a business, practicing a profession, or performing a service
for compensation, or serving as an officer or director of a corporation or other business
entity so engaged, within the City.
No less than four (4) members of the Advisory Board shall be residents of the City.
Advisory Board Members serve at the pleasure of the City Commission and may be removed
by a majority of the Commission with or without a statement of cause.
Section 4. The Advisory Board and its individual members shall operate in the
swishine. Board members are subject to the Palm Beach County Code of Ethics. Appointees
sh -.11 complete required ethics training prior to assuming the duties of appointment.
Section 5. Costs associated with the operation of the Advisory Board will be
assessed to the Community Redevelopment Agency budget.
Section 6. That this Resolution will become effective immediately upon passage.
