The ~yor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The invocation
was given by Rev. V. Thrash o~ the First Baptist Church of Boynton
Beach, and the flag salute was led by Mayor Michael.
~. S%Lmmers moved that the minutes of June 5th meeting be accepted
as presented. Seconded by Mr. Nylund. Hnanimously carried.
BIDS - OPENING
1. Repairs to City Hall
City Clerk advised they had received only one bid on this from
Lyndon Lanes CorpOration.
Mr. Worreit moved ~hat because of a recommended change in the
specifications of the repairs of the City Hall that we receive
this bid unopened and re-write the specifications and advertise
again with changes and ask for new bids. Seconded by Mr..Nylund.
Unanimously carried.
Discussion held. Mr. Lindsey B. Garnett, President of Lyndon
Lanes Corporation came £orward and discussed these repairs, etc.
with the Council. (Said bid was returned to Mr. Garnett umopened.)
2. Annual Insurance Bid
City Clerk advised they had received four (4) bids on this item.

Mr. Wehreil of Boynton Isles, a member of the Plamuing Board, came
forward to discuss vacating stmeet matter to advise how the Planning
and Zondng Beard handles requests for changes, etc.
pLD BUSINESS
Discussion held on further consideration of Pension Plan. M~. Summers
moved that we proceed further and go ahead with our intent on the
Pension Plan. Seconded by Mr. Worreli. Unanimously carried.
The City b~nager was requested to notify the local insumance agencies
to find our what help could be given to the City on this matter.
Discussion held.
NEW BUSINESS
Consider request of South Palm Beach County Soap Box Derby. Mayor
Michael read letter from Soap Box Derby Council with request for total
of $57.50 ($37.50 for bond and $20. for trophy).
Discussion was held.

Mm. Summers moved, to have [,~. Courtney advise Mm. Crawford~ of
Soap Box Derby Council~ that the City Council feels that all depart-
ments~ including the Soap Box Derby~ should stay with/r~ their budgeted
amount. Seconded by ~;m. Nylund. Unanimously carried.
LEGAL
Ordinance No. 67-7 (First reading) rezoning the Benson parcel lying
~ast of U.S. ~1 in AC. Sec. 33-45-43 from R-3 to C-t.
City Attorney read the ordinance.
Mr. Worretl moved that we approve the first reading of Ordinance 67-7.
Seconded by Mr. Nylund.
Discussion held.
Mr. Summers moved that we table the first reading of Ordinance 67-7
until we receive information and it will be on the Agenda July 10.
Seconded by ~;~r. hmehaet. Vote: 2 in favor and 2 against. Motion
failed; revert back to origir~l motion,
Mr. Summers moved to amend the first motion and add to it to pass on
first reading on condition [ir. Benson bring in requested information
before second reading. Seconded by Mr. Nylund. Voted 5 in favor and
1 opposed. Motion passed.
Resolution 67-0 - Amendin~ the Pay Plan.
City Attorney read Resolution 67-0.
M~. Nytund moved that Resolution 67-0 be passed.

~urther consideration of Mutual Aid - Ocean Ridge
Mayor Michael read letter from Fire Chief Gene Wright advising what
Ocean Ridge had ~or fire fighting equipment and manpower,
Discussion held.
Mr. Worrell moved that we do no~ en=er into a mutual aid agreement
with the Town of Ocean Ridge at this time but cOndition it that at
the earlies~ time that our Fire Chief feels that we are in a position
we will reconsider. Seconded by Mr. Ny!und. Unanimously carried.
~onsider request of Judge Durkin for leave of absence
Mayor Michael read letter from Judge Durkin requesting two month leave

of ~bsence and request .that ,!loaald Ewing take over for him during this
time and that Judge Durkin's salary for those two months be paid to
~ir. Summers moved that Judge Durkin be g~anted this two months leave
of absence and the pay be paid to the Judge ad litem. Seconded by
Mr. Nylund. Unanimously earmied.
Consider adopting a resolution requesting the State Legislature to
.have study made to move Capitol to more central location.
Mr. Nylund moved that we deny the request to make resolution. Sec-
onded by ~,~. Summers, Unanimously carried.
_List of Payments made in Mav~ 1967
Mm. Summers moved to accept the list of payments made in May~ 1967,
totaling $144 ~998.96. Seconded by Mm. Worrell. Unanimously carried.

PEPARTI~NTAL P~EPORTS
Mm. Nylund moved to accept departmental reports as submitted. Sec-
onded by Mr. Worrelt. Unanimously carried.
Mrs. Wallace advised the Council that the City had more than met all
their bond obligations and that this was the first time the Ciny has
ever been able to meet this obligation.
L~icense Application for beep and wino
Request from Harry DeBasso of Little Giant Super Market~ Inc. to sell
beer and wine. It has been checked out and cleared. Mr. Summers
moved that we grant this transfer of license. Seconded by Mr. Nylund.
Unanimously carried.
BUILDING OFFICIAL
Mr. Courtney advised that Mr. Stuart B. Fuller has been hired and we
have made the appointment subject to the approval of council. Mr.
Fuller has been certified by the Civil Service Board and he meets all
specifications of the Southern Standard Building Code. We expect
Mr. Fuller to be the General Supervisor of the Inspection-Engineering
Department and be responsible to the City for efficient operation of
this department. Mm. Nylund moved to accept ~fm. Fuller as Building

The City ~fanaqer- recommended the appointment on a temporar~ basis of
Mr. Ward Thomas MeNeeley at a salary of $99.00 per week under Civil
Service. Let the record show that the Mayor approved, Mr. Summers
moved to hime l~[r, Ward Thomas ~eNeeley as patrolman on a temporary
basis, Seconded by ~. Ny!und. ~nan/mously carried.
Mr, Worrell moved to allow Mr. Courtney to make inter-departmental
transfers 'from one accounE to another within a department and a report
will be made to the Council. Seconded by Mr. Summers. Unanimously
carried.
