Mayor Michael V. l;tichaei opened the meeting. Invocation was given
by Rev. Robert May o~ St. John's Methodist Church. Flag salute was
led by Police Chief Gerald Thompson.

Mm. Hank Thompson, member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of
Commerce of Boynton Beach thanked ~he councilmen for the work done and
the help given in the Growth Festival.

Requests for change in zorLing:
1. Wes_to_h~a~ parcel - 1402-12 S. Federal Highway:
Discussion was had by Gene Moore, attorney for the property
owner, in favor of this change. Also, Albert Wehrell: a
member of the Zoning Board gave his reason for voting against
the change in zoning for this property- Emily Jackson also
stated that the City of Boynton Beach had enough property
zoned business and enough various type zoning and was not in
favor of changing the zoning of this property. Kenneth
Horton, attorney for the residents of Lee Manor Isles, advised
that the people of this area have spent considerable money
building their homes there and they wished the zonin~ to remain
the same as it has been in the particular area over these many
years. Mr. Low, ay also requested that the zoning be left as
it is and that no change be made in it. Mr. Olds, Chairman
of the Planning Board advised that no plans or specifications
have been submitted showing proposed type building, or buildings,
to be built on this pmoperty. It was also brought out from the
audience that this property is being taxed as acreage.
Vice Mayor Summers moved that the City deny the change in
zoning in accordance with the Zoning Boardts de cision. Sec-
onded by Mr. Worrell. Roll call vo~e taken: Yes means deny
the change; no means in favor of the change:

Discussion was held. Vice Mayor Su~mners moved that the bid be
awarded to Sout~ Speed Shop at the cost of $9~00 per vehiele.
There being no second this motion died for lack of a second.

One Crawler Tracto~
Mr. Richardson advised that the Crawler Tractor equipment the City
now has was put in good condition and that it can be operated dur-
ing the next budget year. He advised against purchasing a new
Crawler Tractor at this time. Mr. Nytund moved the City reject all
bids on the crawler tractor and the deposit checks be returned.

Discussion held by members of council. Mr. Nylund moved that this
