The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Ordinance 64-14 was read by caption only for the second
reading. Mr. Arohie moved that the ordinance be adopted.
Mr. Summers seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
Ordinance 64-15 ~ 2vwt Read1~g - Settin~ Tax Rate 1~64-6~
The ordinance was read by caption only by Mr. Moore.
Mr. Mahoney moved that the ordinance be adopted on second and
final reading. Mr. Summers seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
Budget Modificat%qn - Salary Increase~
At the recommendation of Mr. Moore, Mr. Archie moved that
the item regarding the recommendation by Mr. Kain that $580.00
be appropriated from the contingency account in the general fund
in the forthcomingbudget to the employee benefits account ~nd
that the amount of $323.00 be allocated from the anticipatea
surplus in the water-sewer fund to the employee benefits account
in order to provide for salary increases for eight employees who
reached the maximum pay scale as of November l, 196J, be tabled
until such time as other items of a similar nature are adopted.
Mr. ~'~honey seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
BudEet Modification - Additional Perso_nn~l
The C%ty ~nager recommended that the amount of ~800.00 be
appropriated from the contingency account to the salary account
in the police budget for the purpose of hiring a school guard to
serve the Mission Hill-Derby ~litl crossing at Seaerest Blvd.
Mr. Archie said that it was his intention that this item be
included in the previous motion. All Councilmen acceded to
Mr. Archie~s intent.

Bonds
The Resolution drawn to set up a trust account for the City's
1964 refundir~ &improvement revenue bond issue was read by
Mr. Moore. This account would provide for the proceeds of the
fuzes of a good faith check which was presented to the City by
Bache & Company in the amount of $120,000. Mr. ~dsen moved that
Resolution 64-LL be approved. Mr. Arehie seconded. Motion
carried 5-0.

Mr. Moore brought bo Council's attention the necessity of
passing on this resolution of a technical nature regarding t.he
bond refinancir~. The resolution authorized and directed the
investment of monies held by the Trustees for ~Yater Refunding
Bonds of the City of Boynton Beach dated Decem~r l, 1950 in the
amount of ~I48,000 outstsa~iing. ~. Archie moved that the Council
adopt Resolution 64-A~. ~,~. Summers seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
Resolution 64-00 ,- Authqrization for ~t~rement of Certain Revenu9
Bonds 1960 Series
This resolution presented to the Council by the City Attorney
authorized monies held by Atlantic National Bnak of West Palm
Beach., Florida, for benefit of certain water and sewer revenue
t~s, issue of 1961 A & B dated December 1, 1961 of the City of
Boynton Beach, to be used for the retirement of certain water
revenue bonds series 1960 of the City of Boynton Beach, Mr. Mahone~
moved that the Council adopt Resolution 64-00. ~. Summers seconded
Motion carried 5-0.

Mr. Moore explained to Council that the Ordi~oe which

previously been approved in the bonding agreement end that it was

duties as a police officer, and the amount he had already received
in workmen, s compensation and other funds advanced to him. In
addition, the City Manager recommended that the five days advanced
to him on sick leave be refunded to him. Mr. Mads~0_ moved that
the Council accept the City Manager recommendations on Patrolman
Miller's behalf. Mr. Mahoney seconded. MoZion carried 5-0.
