CITY ROTATING EXHIBITION REQUEST
The Boynton Beach Art in Public Places welcomes organizations, individuals and collectors to exhibit their
work in City facilities.
Locations for the rotating exhibits are:
City of Boynton Beach Library (second floor), 208 S. Seacrest Blvd.
Operation: Mon. - Thurs. 9 a.m. — 5 p.m. Fri. closed, Sat. 9 a.m. — 5 p.m., Sun. closed.
• This space can accommodate up to 35 artworks depending upon size.
• Space has a flexible exhibition system.
• Space has good lighting.
• Can accommodates 2-D and 3-D wall art only (limited hanging artworks)
Civic Center (auditorium), 129 E. Ocean Ave.
Operation: Mon. - Fri. 9 a.m. — 5 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. — 12 p.m., Sun. closed. (hours of operation are limited to
when programs are occurring in facility)
• This space accommodate up to 20 artworks of various sizes on fixed artwork locations.
Please prepare a proposal to present to the Arts Commission (City Advisory Board) that includes the infor-
mation below. The proposal should be no larger than a 1 MG (or less) emailable pdf, Word or Pages docu-
ment. The Arts Commission meets monthly on the second Thursday. The proposal deadline document, sent
to Public Art Manager, is due 10 days prior to the Arts Commission meeting date.
The proposal should provide the following information:

• Website and social media addresses ( include links)
• Phone number
• Main contact person
9. Exhibition purpose, theme or objective.
3. How will this exhibit benefit the City and organization or individual?
4. How will the exhibit attract visitors?
5. How will the exhibit be marketed by you/your group? (The City will create and distribute press releases
and exhibit notices to post on website and place in City facilities, on cultural organization websites and in
publication listings, i.e. Around Town magazine, Art Hive etc.)
6. Exhibition date request (4 - 6 month period).
7. Requested date/time of reception.
8. Approximate number of artworks and artists.
• Artworks needs to be ready to hang on exhibition hanging system.
9. Description of medium types and range of artwork sizes.
10. Include a variety of artwork examples and/or a website link

Mission: To advance the public interest in the visual arts and to promote the development of excellence in visual arts
in the South Palm Beach area.

How will the exhibit attract visitors? Deborah's live painting demo will attract the public to the reception
Her work will be on exhibit for auction until the end of the exhibit where the highest auction winner will be
announced
2) Target date: City Library Jan - April 2018
Goal: City of Boynton Beach takes a leadership role as an inclusive City.
Mission: Where everybody regardless of ability is welcome and can participate.
"Beyond ADA regulations" - Accessibility is being invited to the party. Inclusion is asked to dance.
Project: Develop and host an exhibit that features artists with all abilities
Working title: "All Abilities Exhibition" "Inclusion Exhibition"

These images and words capture my ongoing discovery of my new home state. I would like to share this
artwork with others who might be willing to look anew at our shared surroundings through my PhotoPoems.

The organizations can contribute to a raffle that people can win to participate in "wildlife adventure" experi-

How will this exhibit be marketed?
I am a member of several local groups, and would make direct invitations to the exhibit in those places.
Approximate Number of Artworks and Artists: One artist.
14 framed photographs with accompanying poems. (If the space allows, I could include additional pho-
tos with accompanying poems.)
Description of medium types and sizes.
All of the photos are 8 by 10 color shots, matted and framed to 11 by 14. The poetry is printed on card
stock, bordered with contrasting card stock.
