KAIN, CITY ~NAGER GENE MOORE, CITY ATTORNEY TERM~SA PADGETT, CITY CLERK The meetLng was called to order by the Mayor. The Rev. Henry ~arvis of Southside Baptist Church gave the ~vocation. Scouts Bill ~nd Tom Narnke, President and Secretary of Post 222, led the Salute to the Flag. TD~ presentation of School Patrol Certificates was made by the ~ayo~ assisted by Safety Director Dick JO~son. The awards ~ere presented to more than Fifty Patrol students from area schools Dar~icipating in the Safety Program. The ~inth grade students who particioated in "Youth in Govern- merit Day" on May ~th were pre~ented awards by the Mayor. "Mayor Randy Tribble" in turn presented the ~ayor end City Co~ucil wi~h a bound book of reports on the students day in government. The Mayor thanked the students and said ~t the hook would be placed in City archives, Re, ice Lauaing, Principal, expressed his appre- ciation to the Council. Resotntion 65.-X Vacation of Uti~iit~v .Easements i~ Bo.vnton Industrial P~rk_ (On the Table) This Ordinance providing for the abandor~ment of oergai~ uttliby easements in Boynton Ludustrial Park had been tabled a~ seconded. PUBLIC HA~-HOUR Mrs. Emily ~ackson asked the Council about certain rumors ~hat were circulating in the City with regard to the sewer and water rates going up. ~ayor Banks told her that the Council was working diligently on a proguam to do away with the front foot assessment. -2- Mrs. Mar~ MacLauchlan. 3206 Canal Drive, asked what progress had been made in eliminmtlng the electrical business atledgedI~ being run from the home of James Feldcamp on 3214 C~al D~ive. which had been brought ~o the Council's attention at th~ 3as~ Council meeting b2 ~ro Donald Spath. She was info~med by the City Mauager that Nr. Feldcamp had rented ~ warehouse and had ob- tained a P. O. Box to receive his mail.
