The Ma~.o~ called the meeting to order at 7,30 P.M.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting of November 17
were read.
Mr~ Mahoney said State Attorney should read State Auditor~
Mr~ 0yet moved~the acceptance of the minute~ with this correction.
M~. Du~in seconded. Motion carried.
Mr. Peter ScianaBle of 207 S.E. 24th Avenue said he had
failed tb file for Homestead exemption before April 1st. He
went to tb~ Court House at West Palm Beach on November iI, and
had been grouted ~the exemption for this year ~ud hopem he
would be ~ocorded the s~e treatment in Boynton Beach.
After discussion Mr. Ma~oney moved that Homestead Exemption
be granted in this case on the basis that the County granted
it on November ll~ 19~8. Mr. 0yet seconded. Mormon carried.
Mr. Kirschba~m of 701 $.E. 4th Street, oppQsite Bedfor~
Jones, said his house i~ constantly in need of cleaning Luside
and outside on acoo~u~t of the numerous fires set by Mr. Jones
to dispose of trash in the shape of old cars etc.
The Mayor praised Mr. Kirschba-~u tlmat all possible steps
wili be taken to_~ut an end to ta~ ~ nuisance.
The Buildir~ Report for the month of Nove~oer was read,

A letter was read from Mr. David J. Wolfe enclosLug a
sketch showing the ~ugles of the streets in a proposem ~b-
division, and saying he would like to know if the arrange-
merit will be approvea~by the City Co~ucil~
Mr. Oyer moved Mr. Wolfe be informed that before approval
we wilI re~ire that in the p±attinE of the property S.W. Ist
Street be put in, making the necessary &ugles at the inter-
section. Mr. Du~k~u seconded. Motion carried.

No action was taken inasm~ch as th~ ~a~.~ is already up.
~ letter ~as ~ead from Mrs. Kneipp thanking the Cotuucil
for its letter of sympati~y on the death of her father.
An application was read from Kurt ,.aQumtt~ requesting an
occupational license for sign wore bo be don~ on a lot on the
edge of an ~A~ zone. It ~was referred to t~e Zoning Board.
M~. 0yet moved the City Clear be authorised~t? purchase
the 13-inch Smith Corona typewriter from the Ju~o~ High
School if it w~u~d be ~to the advantage of the City to do so.

Mr. G~iffith read the second Resolution on the streets
in Laure~ Hills.

December !$, at noon, was set for the meeting with th~
property
The Little League lease was again tabled for the time
being, no ~epresentative being presebt.
Three yo~g colore~ men were pre~ent to inquire regarding
the availability of funds for their recreation hall.
The Mayor s~id the z~uds became av~lable on Nove~oer l,
but the architect who had been asked to ~raw uo the plans and
give approximate estimates of the cost of the ~all had not yet
been heard froF~. As soon as these are received they will be
submitted to the colored co~Jaitte~ for their remarks ~d
approval at a meeting with the City Cotuucil.
The Chief of Police reported complaints receLved on a
fence on N.~. 4th ~venue and ~rd Street; also c~plaints about
t~ailers parked on private property, although they are not
allowed to be live~ in.
~. M~honey reported the specifications for ~he new
garbage t~ck have been received and have been turned over to
~r. Taylor and Mr. Partin. M~o 0yet moved Mr. Pa~tin ~ud Mr.
Taylor be authorised to receive bids on the garbage t~ack.
