PRE SE~T: Mayor Mott Partin Vice Mayor Donald Rehburg Stanley Weaver harvey oyer~ City Clerk D~V~Wil!iams Zell Taylor Carl Stone~ The ~ayor called the meeting to order at ?.30 P.M. The City Clerk read the minutes of the last regular meeting of Novemoer 4, .~ Mr~ Oyer said he voted ~No~ to tentative aoproval of the H~lcrest S/D plat~ - ~Vr, Weaver moved, with this correct.on, the minutes be accepted as read. Mr~ Oyer seconded, Eotion carried~ A representative of the P.O,D~.Ao of S~Wo Vth Avenue presented a petition for street lights in that neighoor~ood The matter was turned over to the Florida Power & Light Comps~y for survey and possible installation of li Ehts later~ A representative of the Shuffleboar~ Court Club spoke rega~dmng the SB~O0 donated by Council for paint and said the members quested ~u~tner help towards painting the inside and outside of the ....... ~ which is too big a job for members to do themselves~ It was agreed Mr, Rehburg and ~r~ Taylor would go over and see vgnat is needed. Mrs. Andrews was info_~med no reply had yet been received from the County Commission tc the letter from the CoUncil regarding S.E, 38th Avsnus~ ~-~ ~ Griffith advised her to go to th~ County Co~m!ssio_, regular meeting on Monday morning where she could present her case and be more likely to get a direct reply~ A lette~ was_ read from ~rs~ Andrews mo' the Council.- ' A letter was read from Russel & Axon requesting a further meeting on the Planning ~ud Zoning proposal~ A letter was read from ~r~ Koyen, a member of the Brockway, ~sber & Brockway Company, on the same subject~ requesting an interview. It was agreed that a letter should be sent t~him that the City is not interested in a selling Job but only wants a proposal for planning an8 zoning. Nra Pomeroy Dunbar presented three R~J maps from the North Delray Beach bouydary to the center of Boynton Beach~ in connection with the widening of U~S~l~ After discussion he said, in connection wit~ R/W owned by the City, he would be glad to t~e up the question of compensation~with the S.R.D. for moving water mains~ It was agreed toturn the maps over to.the City Attorney a~o await a reply from Mr. Du~bar regarding his talksdwith the SoR~D~ After dzscussmon, kr~ Weaver moved the Water Co~missioner be authorised to take the necessary steps to continue to increase the flow of water with t'he present pumping station~ Mr. Rehburg seconded. Weaver seconded~ Motion carried. f~er a discussion on swimming pools the City Attorney was instructed to find the best ordinance governing such pools and their safety requzremsnts. T_.m_e BuiM i~ig Board to be requested to study the problem~ ~egardin8 the bill from the Chamber of Commerce for ~approxzmately $1,100~O0, it was agreed a letter be written to them tha the Council is ready to pay this particular bill, but the Chamber should~provide invoices covering the individual expenditures~ also it is suggested tha~ in fut,~re estimates for certain work be submitted to the Council before the orders s~e placed. -3= ~r~ Rehburg said he had contacted ~r~ Hermy Holmes of We~t Palm Beach, a specialist in topos etc.~ for beach use~ ~no offers torenew much of our equipment, re-install life lines and maintain them against anything but vandalism for ten months of the year~ removing life li~es dur~ the months of September and 0ctobe~ on acco~ut of possible h~_~rzcanes~ for a ~ee of ~536.~0o He moved it be approved to accept ~r.
