The minutes of a special meev~ng o~ Ju~y 22 were read by City Olerk~ ~(r. Rehburg moved the minutes be accepted as read, ~r~ Chadwell seconded~ ~otion ca_rzea The report cf ~r. R.C.Rolfe, Building InsDec~or~ for the month, of July was read showing building permits for the month of ~8~,767~'00~ A letter was read from Mr.W,T,Anderson of the Anderson Cook Conpany~ Fiscal agents, saying they ~d not received the letter written to them with reference to the City asking for proposals on possible sewerage bonds. It was agreed to file this letter with the others and it can be considered with e~ Tho City Clerk reported Call~han and Frierson request a refund of the $50~00 application fee for pl~%oer~s examination never t~ken. The contract they were bidding on was awarded before the examination was given. ~r~ 0yet moved that the '~50~00 be re~nded. seconded~ ~otion carried~ Weaver ~r. Weaver moved that a letter of acceotance_ of p~roperty from the County be written for part of Goverr~ent Lot 5 ~ Sec. 5~46~4~ Mr, Rehburg seconded~ ~otion carried. ~e~o~ was read from Lro Jung of Shore and Coun%y ~u~tne_ objecting to the Sign Ordinance. Realty, ¢ ~ ~ ~ ~r.,~rinke said he had checked with Delray and Lake ~orth and found t.~e~ could put mp pne si~:.en p~operty for sale. ~.{r. N~aoney said L~o Worth had had a great de~ of trouble in this matter~ he e~ressed the opinion tha~ the proposed Sign 0rdinanoe 'will help the City~ ~¢~o Boos, after ~iting the fact that many trades put out rules and regulations governing themselves, referred to a comm~uication he had received, signed by every registsred real estate dealer in the City belonging to the Board of Realtors~ with the exception of ~. 0yer~ approving the sign ordinmuce. ~m. Jung socks in rebuttal of [~r. Boos, remarks. ~!r. ~ahoney answered some mf ~. Jtuug~s statements, adding thst he considers the sign ordinance will be good for the City~ He stated that if the ordinance is not passed every realtor in the City will put up a sign on property for sale. Weaver moved the archltect~s fees be paid out of ~uappropriated s~plus~ ~otiom carried~ for the new City Hall Rehburg s econded~ Mr. ~eaver moved that the following alternate members be appointed to the Zoning Board ~o serve in the absence of rego. lar members: Nr, Ckadwell, as alternate for Er~ 0yer~ ~r~ Homer Shslton, ~r~ Albert Deen and ~r. Albert ~cGregor. Nr. Rehburg seconded~ ~otion carried. After a discussion on the installation of gas tanks in Royal Palm Village at the end of each block, with lines connected with sve~y house in the block~ ~r~Weaver moved the City Attorney and ~s. Williams be authorised to take the necessary steps to correct the situation as regards the installatio.n of bulk gas tanks in subdivisions for the houses in that particul~ block, the companies making such installations to be made to stop such operations until procedure has been arrived at~ and pe~ission obtained from the City~ ~r~ Oyer seconded~ ~otion carried. An excerpt from the minutes of the Recreation Board was read regarding benches to be sponsored by the Lion~ Clu~o, to be placed on City property~ ~r~ Rehburg and Dr~ Hitching exp,l~ined the reasons of the Recreation Board for recommending the proj~ t~ Hr~ Weaver moved the matter be tabled until the next regular meeting so that~ among other things~ the status of the existing benches be establislded~ ~r~ Oyer seconded~ Eotion carried~ in a discussion on the $209.00 li~t bill for the Little League Park for the month of July, it was agreed it was more reasonable th~ some had expected~ The Fire Department,s report for the month of July was read~ ~r. Oyer reported the price on a flow meter as $572.oo f.o.b. Providence, N.J., plus ~132.00, plus ~50 a day and living mud travelling expenses ~rom Jacksonville for the men who install it, makin~ the total approximately ~800.00 for ~ue meter which should accurately check the amotuut of water which goes through the Cindy's system~ Nr. Weaver moved }~ir. 0yet be authorised to order the flow meter for installation, Nr. Rehburg seconded. Notion carried, After discussion ~n the desirability of employing au engineer to give a survey on the l~nd for the Boynton Beach Boat Club, in view of the length of the lease~ and also on the necessity for preparing the ground, it was agreed that ~[r.
