The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7.30 P.M.
The City C!erk read the minutes of the last regular
meeting of June 17 and its continuation of J~aue 19.
Ye. Weaver pointed out the figure of $5,500,000.00
referred to the estimated cost of the whole sewerage system
on completion~ ~ith this e~eption he moved the minutes be
accepted. Mr. 0yet seconded. Motion passed.
The building report for the month of June was read
amounting to ~$~88.00. The report included a covering
letter from ~r. Ro!fe, Building Inspector.
Mr. Weaver moved that the report be accepted.

A letter was read from Brockway, Weber & Brockway
re~arding proposed sewerage and sewerage treatment for
Boynton Beach.
The City Clerk was authorised ~o write ~ockway that
Russell & Axon have been ~a!n~d as engineers for the sewerage
work here a~d any question about tying in any development to
the system should be referred to Russell & Axon.
Three letters from Russell &Axon were read. One
recommending crossings be made for pipes at a cost of
~1~,$00.00 before construction of the Highway starts, to
avoid h~ing to take up the highway later°
A letter was read from St'. Mark's Catho~ic Church
requesting road repair work for St~ark~s Church before
Saturday, July ~ whem the wedding ~f Nancy McNamara and
Herb Score wil! be ~eiebrated.
Mr~ Chadwetl was asked to see what can be done in the
matter.
A letter was read from the Boynton Beach Board of
Realtors ~h~r~ing the Council for their co-operation is

connectl n with amending the $ig~u Ordinance.
A letter was read from the Shore & Country Realty
enclosing a small plat of proposed Pine Ridge.
Sr~ Oyer moved that the plat be apDroved subjeot to
the usual reg~zlations regarding streets~ etc~ Mr. Weaver
seconded. Motion carried.
A plat of part of Lot B~ of Sam Brown Junio~ s/d was
presented by Mr~ Sharer.
Mr. 0yet moved that tentative approval be given to the
plat. Mr. Weaver seconded. Motion carried~
~r. Alfred ~¥olken presented a p~lt~on s~ned by
approximately 8~ parents requesting appropriation of funds for
a sw~ng pool~
~r. $.~arshauer, of the Carter Construction Comp~ay, Said
approximately $~B~O00~00 would cover the total cost of a
fresh water pool, with bath houses: walks and fence~ plus
approximately $~00~00 a year for C~_ty water, if used~
The members of the Council expressed themselves as wholly
in favor of the projset which would necessitate t~V$ pools at
a cost of approximately $10~,000.00, but were opposed to a bond
i~sue for the expense.
~&r. Warshauer said, when asked~ it would take three weeks
to draw the plans and get the State Boar8 of Health~s p~rm~es!on~
and from the signing of the contract until the pool was ready

Recreation Board ~ud Planning Board for the!restudy
recon~mendatmons as to ~ether fresh or salt water and the
location, and that the signers of the petition should be

the fi rst time ~
~'~r. Weaver moved that Ordinance 398 be adopted for the
first reading. Nr~ Rehburg seconded. Motion carried°
~r. Griffith read 0rdin~.ce ~9~ covering door-to-door
canvassers~ etc., in Boynton Beach~ for the first t_me.
Mr. Chadwell moved that Ordinance Bg~ be adopted for
the first reading~ Nr~ Weaver seconded~ Mr. 0yet and
Rehburg vzted~ No. Mayor Partin voted in favor~ Notion
passed.
~r. Weaver moved that the Street Department be instructed to
put up ,NO TRUCKS~ signs on Ocean Parkway. Nr. 0yet seconded.
Notion carried.
Mrs. Thompson having complained about the condition of
an adjoining lot on lake front and Dr. Ploudre, the o%mer,
having reportedly r~sed to do ~ything about it,
Chadwell and ~. Taylor were asked to check into the c~plaint.
~. Ogden showed preliminaNy pi~s of t~ proposed new
Ci~ Hall.
Mr. 0yep moved that the Mayor be authorised to si~
approval of the preliminary plans. Er. VJeaver seconded.

It was agreed that ~ Executive meeting be held on
Wednesd~ July 17, at 7.30 P.~i., to study the proposals of
the fiscal agents, who may be present if they ~ish.
It was agreed that an Executive meeting with the City
Attorn~ be held at ~.30 P.M., Monday, July
It was a~eed that Mr. Field should be notif_ed that
th~ Co~cil wml_ be unable to meet with h~ on
J~ly 8, as arranged.
Mr, Griffith presented~a contract given ~m by
H~p~ies for signature, covering dedication of a road R/W.
Mr. 0yet moved the Mayor be authorised to sign the R/W
a~eement. Nr. V~eaver seconded. Notion carried.
~ Weaver moved Mr. 0yet be anthor~sed $? advertzse
for bids for pilimgs for supports of a water l~ne crossing
over the Boston Canal at Se~rest. Mr. Reyb~g seconded.
Motion carried.
Mrs. ~Jilli~s was asked to get in touch with ~r. Brockway
regarding the colored cemete~ plat.
Mr. Weaver moved the Co~ucil listen to the recording
machine which ha~ been recording the a~e~e~m proceedings.
After discussion, ~. W~av~r moved the City p~chase
the recording machine~ ~r. Chadwell seconmed. Motion
The plat of Forest Hills wa~ app~ved and signed by the
Nayor, th~ money fo~ water and atreets being now in escrow.
