The Nayor called the meeting to order at ?.~0 P.M.
The City Clerk read the minutes of the last regular meeting
of April 1st.
Nr. Chadwell said in the matter of the Building Code Ord-
inance he had ~ted 'No', and with this correction Nr. Weaver
moved the minutes be accepted. ~r. Rehburg seconded. Notion
carried.
Excerpts from the minutes of the meeting of the Recreation
Board of Narch 19th were read.
Nrc Rehburg gave as the reason for closing down T?en Town
at the Casino that the Board cannot control the ~ituatlon there
and thought the money obtained from the sale of the Shuffleboard
Court would be sufficient to pay for a new court and a specific
recreation center, the Casino not being a suitable place for
Teenagers.
Mr. Rehburg moved that ~u appraisal be authpri sed on ~he
Shuffleboard property. M~. ~eaver seconded. NDtion carrmed.
Nr. Oyer suggested approaching local real. eDtate people
get a good appraisal after mnvestigation and fln~ out what
fee would be.
Nr. Weaver explained the action ~aken by th~ Planning Board
at their meeting on April 10th regardmng the zoning of the Allen
King property.
After discussion, Nay 10th was given as the date of the
next Zoning Board meeting.
A letter was read from the Ladies Auxiliary of the Tri-
Community Fire Department asking approval for a rummage sale
on the Kolendo lot.
Nr. Weaver moved that the Ladies
have their rummage sale as requested.

A letter was read from Vffilliam Q. Hays requesting street
market, signs in Seacrest Estates subdivision.
~r. Field reported having had a special meeting with
Russell & Axon regarding an over-all survey for sewers. He
understsm~the contract is a three-way one~ and the firm require
a fee of $800.00 before commending work.
Mr. Weaver asked Mr. Fields if it would make the work go
fsster if he advanced the $600.00, and Er. Field replied 'Yes'.
After discussion~ ~. 0yet moved that the City authorise Mr.
Field to underwrite the expenditure of $~O0.~'~ to Russel~ &
Axon to ~nable them to claim the $800.00 fee from the Federal
Gpvernment. ~. Rehburg secbnded. ~otion carried.
Mr. Griffith said the subdivision ordinance was not
sufficiently advanced to read tonight and suggested a special
executive meeting for its consideration when ready.

the viewpoints of both sides.

Police Chief Carver said a new car was needed by the Police
Department.
After discussion, ~r. 0yet moved that the Councilman in
ch~ge of Rolling Stock and the City Clerk, with the Police
~h~ef, be authorised to draw up specifications for tires for the new
~olice car and to receive bids on trade-ins of the Pontiac for
a new car. ~r. Rehburg seconded. ~otion carried.
After discussion, Mr. Ch~dwell moved that a new ~phone be
provided for the use of the F~re Dep~rtment, and the ~olice
hook-up to the Fire Department telephone be discontinued. ~r.
Weaver seconded. Mr. 0yet voted 'No'. ~otlon carried.
Er. 0yer reported on th~ proposed well field saying they
had prepared a layout between N.E. 1st Street and Seacrest Boule-
vard on City property ~ud test wells wo~ld be put in. It was
agreed to drive a B~' well to start with. ~
Mr. Over moved that a letter be written to the L~ke Worth
Drainage D~strict Co~missioners requesting the City of Boyflton
Beach be permitted to put piling in and lay a water mai~ across

~ ~ ~r. Weaver moved the C~ty Attorney be authorised to
a letter to the SAL Railway requesting, in the name of the City~
the crossings at the Seabord Air Line and on State Road No.9;
the developers to pay all expenses. ~r. Rehburg seconded.

Mr. Weaver moved to authorise the C~abtree Constr~cti~n~
Company to go ahead and do the Ocean Avenue Paving job Within
thirty days. Mr. Oyer seconded. ~otio~ carrie~.
A Resolution was ad~pte8 for Mr. Taylor to draw up specifica-
tions etc. for the repair of S.W. 2nd' Avenue and other streets.
Mr. Taylor was also asked to see what can be done to the
wooden bridge on North Seacr~st, and what such repair would
COSt.
Mr. Rehburg moved that the necessary sod be purchased
the in-field o~ the Little League ball park. ~. Weaver
seconded. Notion carried.
Mr. Carl Warner presented his plat -of Forest Hills.
Mr. Weaver moved that the p~ of Forest Hills be approved
when made up and complete. Mr. Oyer seconded. Notion carried.
In the matter of the fill which the Baptist Church say
they will give to the City when removed frDm West of the
church in o~der to make a parking place, ~. Partin s~id he
would ask Mr. Ward to have a letter written by the trustees
to the City confirming this donation.
Mr. Oyer moved that the plat of the colored cemetery be
accepted as a tentative layout for a cemetery and the engineer
be instr~.cted to revise it to the st~udards of other municipal
cemeteries in regard to lots and pathways, vo plat it in the
sam~ m~uner as the original, five graves of 8 x ~ to the plot
instead of six; ~he Superintendent of Public Works to be
instructed to commence clearing the land and work out the measure-
ments needed. ~. Neaver seconded. Notion carried.
~r. Weaver thought steps should be t-&ken towards getting
an architect to design the new City Hall, so that it c~u be ready
for occuoancy within eighteen months, and moved ~hat Nfs. ~illiams
be authorised to approach the American institute of Architects
and ask their recommendations as to which architects have special-
ised in City Halls. ~r. Rehburg seconded. ~otion carried.
Mr. Don Ad,ms volunteered his advice on the matter and
gave his telehpone number in Lake Worth.
