PROPOSAL FOR AUGMENTED REALITY PROJECT FOR THE
2019 INTERNATIONAL KINETIC ARTS EXHIBIT & SYMPOSIUM BOYNTON BEACH
This is a proposal by interactive artist, Peter G. Pereira for an Augmented Reality project that is composed
of "targets" for each of the 10 kinetic outdoor art sites for the 2019 Kinetic Art Event. These AR -targets
would provide an interactive, educational and entertaining component to the event as well as connect
each of the kinetic artists in the outdoor exhibition to the event attendees and year long outdoor exhibit.
The AR project provides a highly talked about and social media shared component for the event. It will
appeal to a wide diversity of people.
About interactive artist, Peter G Pereira: Recent article/short bBio: http://www.palisadesnews.com/

The proposed budget for the Augmented Reality Project is $5,000 which is detailed as follows:
What is AR:
It is an exciting new interface is known as Augmented Reality, in which objects will appear in
time and space as if they have always been there.
How do you activate the Peter G Pereira, interactive artist AR:
1) On your smart phone or iPad use any scan code reader to access the Peter G Pereira,
interactive artist AR application.
2) Download the app on your smart phone (Apple & Android)
3) Open application
4) In app menu go to listing of kinetic artworks with artwork with image (1-10)
5) At the sculpture location align smart phone or iPad screen with target
6) A 10sec Augmented Reality image/video appears with the kinetic artist speaking about
his/her artwork.

stages of finish.
Meaning and Some Background: Medium(s) as Message
Augmented Reality translates all forms of 2 and 3d art and media into new dynamic, interactive and
interdimensional forms. The Monolith pictured above is the hub of a new application for this Interactive
Installation Art whereby Augmented Reality Targets (here 16) introduce the viewer and the environment
to a 4D interactive experience with Painting, Animations, Video, Films, Kinetic Art, Music, Photography
among other Media as Interdimensional Installation Arts that can be experienced both indoors and
outdoors.
RESULTS OF AR PROGRAM AT OLD SCHOOL SQUARE:
• Thousands of visitors came to Old School Square to experience AR project and it's enhancement of
the museums exhibits.
• AR Project received positive media exposure
• Educational workshop provided students and participants with a -potential to expand their creative
intellectualism.

Series

This Demonstration Sculpture has the AR targets or tiles that with help of a special App downloaded
on Android and Whone, opens the window on this dynamic new world Indoor and Outdoor Installation
Art - as was demonstrated first here in South Florida in Delray Beach for a year-long interior exhibit at the
OLD SCHOOL SQUARE and more recently, as an Outdoor Exhibit with four Trees of Life Sculpture and
Augmented Reality Artworks at the reopening of the CORNELL MUSEUM DELRAY (Nov. 2017 through Feb.
2018).
