BE IT ORDAZNED BY THE ~CITY COI/5ICIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
~ection 1: That Section 84 of Article V of the Municipal
Charter of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"~ection 84.
Determination of necessary revenue; certifi-
cation of levy.
The City Council shall on the third Tuesday in
September of each year, determine the amount of money
which shall be needed for all purposes in the operation
of the City for the current year, and shall levy a tax
upon all real and personal property, railroads, telephone
and telegraph lines~ within the s~id City of Boynton
Beach, sufficient to produce the amount needed, and the
taxes so levied shalI be certified by the Clerk of the
said Council to the Tax Assessor and Collector of Ralm
Beach County immediately after ~he holding of said
meeting."
~ection 2: Authority to Codify: Specific authority is
hereby granted to codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the
City's existing Code.
~ection 3: Se_~arabillt~: Each of the provisions of this
Ordinance are separable, including word, clause, phrase or
sentence~ and if any portion thereof shall be declared invalid,
the remaining portion shall not be affected but shall remain in
full force and effect.
~ection 4: Re_930ealinq Provisions: Ail ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
