Mayor Shook called the meeting to order at 8:05 P. M. and stated
that this meeting is held to catch uo some of the business it seems
we never have time to do in the regular scheduled semi-monthly
meetings.
A pamphlet by Pure Water Products, Inc. of West Palm B~ach was given
to each of the Councilmen~ by a representative of the company. It
suoolied lengthy ~n[ormation~ facts, cost and ~ecommendations for
water treatment wmtn ~ormula No. IzS. Efter much discussion it was
decided to give the oroblem a little more thought and then inform
the comoany of the decision.
Mr. Weaver moved that Seacrest Boulevard be held to a minimum width
of 80~ (eighty feet). Mr. Deen seconded end me,ion carried. Mr.
Brockway will be asked tomorrow to survey~ ~nd to out markers in th~
center of the right-of-way. ~
From Lifeguard salary information of eight coastal citiess it was
agreed to pay $60.00 per month to George Zoohie~ for the oresent
schedule.
A letter was ordered to the Lake Worth Drainage District asking that
the Canal ba~ right-of-ways west of the Florida East Coast Railway be
dedicated ss a oublic street.
So that the new school may be constructed at the earliest possible
days it was agreed to put foundation rock on S. W. 10th Avenue ~ner~e
nece~sary~ from Seacrest Boulevard West to S. W. 3rd Street and thence
South on 3rd Street to the school property. Resolution to be prepared
for submitting to next council meeting this street be ~ssessed for
street imorovement.
There being no further business pressing~ the meeting was adjourned.
