C.Noward Hood ~r, Arth-~r F~dric~h Mr~ St~tey Weaver. Mayor Purinton called the meeting to order at 7o~ 2,M. ~ir. Cromer, referring to the chauge-over of pipes in Rmdoewood ~lls, asked that ~,~r. Harless pay his share of the cost directly to amd no objection was made to th_is arrangement. ~. joe Kolendo spoke of the hazs~d caused by bus~s going North having 5o cut through traffic to get to the new bus station. M~ Purintom suggested tu~ning the matter over to the Police Department. Police Chief Carver said m~ny other cities had the same situation. ~. Koiendo asked for a light at each corner of P%ne Street, was told that this would be attended to. Company~ City° Mike Koch, a resident of Boyntem snd representing a Paving asked for permission to bid on any work ~o be done for the ~. Purinton said if he will t~vn his na~e into t~e City Hall - ~ he wml_ be notified when any work covering the hiring Of trucks is to be put out. ~remr~c~_ referred to the of the Legion Hall and suggested p~king area near ~he hall. hazard of parking cars i~ front the City provide shell for a safer P~. Mr. Frank Mmze suggested the City order thirty more meters, for which one would be supplied free. l{ro P~rinton said several request~ had ~ready be~n received for extra parkmng meters to~ be mnstalled ~n front of offi~es~ etc.~ and suggested ordering a few more~ some of which might be ~wo-ho~ ones, }~. Cb~istiansen and the C~ef of Police were asked to look after the matter and to report on how many extra meters wm~l be needed. After_ discussion, during wh_ch~ it was pointed out that the City has not at present the tlteeature necessary for passing out, t~. Ha~less offered to hav~ the a~t work done on a folder if the Chambem of Col~,%erce would supply the info-~matlon; he said the~e should be no personal advertisements in the folder. It was agreed tlqat M~. i~eaver sho~i~ work with !~L~. F~less and the Chamber of Co=.~nmerce on the matter. A letter was read from l~s. Mi!lis Bridges asking for a Beer and ~_.nc License on Wells Street. Police CD~e£ Carver wasaskea~ to report on whether the position comoli~dwith ~. Morrzson~ ~' conSract,' '~'~ for a ~/d in the City of Boy~ton Beach.. M~. Fredrich moved, and Mr.~Weave_~ seconded, that the two contracts be accepted, Motion passed unanimously. ~Lv. Mr. Weaver moved and Mr.Fredrich seconded that these Ordinances be acce~ted for the first reading. Motion passed mhanimeuSly.
