4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
5 APPROVING EXTENSION OF A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY
6 OF BOYNTON BEACH AND B & J CATERING, INC., DBA
7 CULINARY SOLUTIONS FOR A COMMISSARY TO PROVIDE FOOD
8 FOR CITY EMPLOYEES IN THE EVENT OF A HURRICANE AND
9 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE LETTER OF
10 EXTENSION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

13 WHEREAS, B & J Catering, Inc., d/b/a Culinary Solutions, has been the awarded
14 vendor for the City's hurricane commissary for the past 8 years under the original Agreement
15 (Resolution RI 1-075) which allowed for renewal annually under the same terms as long as
16 both parties agreed in writing; and
17 WHEREAS, the purpose of this extension is to secure commissary to provide food
18 for employees in the event of a hurricane; and
19 WHEREAS,staff has recommended that the City Commission approve and authorize
20 the City Manager to sign the letter extending the contract with B & J Catering, Inc., d/b/a
21 Culinary Solutions for the 2018 commissary to provide food for city employees in the event of
22 a hurricane.
23 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
24 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
25 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
26 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
27 hereof.
28 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby
29 approves the extension of a contract between the City of Boynton Beach and B&J Catering,Inc.,

30 d/b/a Culinary Solutions for a commissary to provide food for city employees in the event of a
31 hurricane and authorizes the City Manager to sign the letter of extension, a, a copy of which is
32 attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit"A".
33 Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
