and regulations of the election ordinance, it was moved
by CoP=missioner Tattersall and seconded by Co~missioner
Eerce~ that the nominations be duly accepted a_nd that the
names of the two petitioners be placed upon the ballot.

Commissioner Tat~ersall moved the adoption of the
following Resolution:
WHEREAS, A. V. Peterson has tendered to the City
Commission of Boynton Beach, Florida, his resignation as Town
Clerk of such municipality;
NOW, T~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission
of Boynton Beach, Florida, that such resignation be, and the same
hereby is, accepted;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that by reason of such resig-
nation and the acceptance thereof there has been created and now
exists a vacancy in the office of Town Clerk in the City of Boynton
~each~ Florida, and that a vacancy is hereby declared to exist in
such office.
BE IT FLSITH~R B~SOLVED, that a special election of
the qualified electors of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida be
held in the municipality of Boynton Beach, Florida, for the p'orpose
of filling such vacancy by electing a Tovm Clerk to serve for the
~uexpired term of such office;
BE IT FURTH~ RESOLVED:
(a) That such special election be held on Tuesday, the
3rd day of December, 1946;
(b) That the poling place be at the Pavilion located at
the Shuffleboard Court in the municipality of Boynton Beach,

(e) Th~t nominations of candidates for the office of Town
Clerk so to be filled shall be in accord with the ordinances of

(f) That no,ice of such special election shall be signed
by the Mayor, and a copy thereof posted at the front door of the
Town Hall in the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and that such
notice be published in'the Boyn~on Beach News, in the issues thereof
to be published on November 12, 19, 26 and December 3, 1946.
(g) That the registration books of such municipality shall
be open for registration pursuant to the ordinances of such muni-
cipality;
(h) Such election shall be conducted in accord with the
ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and the laws
of the State of Florida applicable thereto.
Co~missioner Mercer seconded ~he mo~ion for the adopt-
ion of the foregoing Re~olution, and upon a vote being had thereon,
the sa~e was unanimously passed and adopted.
NOTIGE OF~ SPECIAL ELECTION
NOTICE iS EEBEBY GIVEN, that a special election of
the qualified electors of the City of Boynton Beach,
~-ll be held in and for the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, on
Tuesday, the 3rd gay of December, 1946;
Such special election w~ll be held for the purpose
of electing a Town Clerk for the %unexpired ~erm of A. V. Peterson,
~no has resigned, and thereby caused a ~acaney in such office of
Town Clerk;
Nominatiens for such office shall be made, and such
special election shallbe conducted, according to the ordinances
of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and the laws of the State
of Florida applicable thereto;
The Dolling place will be at the Pavilion located
the Shuffleboard Court in such City of Boynton Beach: Florida, and
the polls shall be open from 8 o~clock A.E. to 6 o'clock P.E. of
such 3rd day of December, 1946.
