After considerable discussion it was moved by Bo V. Tattersall seconded~
by Clarence Benson that all bids be rejected as toehigh: all the ~ommlss~
loners voting in the affirmative°
A general discussion was then held as to how the City might get this
work done at a lesser cost,
It was moved by F. L. Purinton and seconded by Clarence Benson that
Brooks Norton be fBired as a Police Officer effective July l~ 19~9.
All commissioners approved.
The Co~issioners approved the settlement of $1000,00 as pa~ent in full

to offer to settle these on a basis of 6 years or $912,OO and if Mr. Priester
objected at this figure to settle the same for $792~ OO or five years ts~es.
