OF THE CITer COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA
We, the undersigned~ duly elected, qualified and acting
Mayor, Vic~ Mayer and City Clerk of the City of Boynton Beach.,
Florida~ constituting the City Cemmiss$on of such municipality,
do respectively consent to the holding of a special meeting of
the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach., Florida to
be held on Monday, the 21st day of July, A.D. 1947 at the City
Hall in such municipality at 'the-hour of lO:O0 A.M. thereof
for the purpose of considering an emergency ORDINANCE PROVIDING
~R THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF EXTENSIONS AND ADDITIONS
TO THE WATER. SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND AUTHORIZING
THE ISSUANCE OF WATER REVENUE CERTIFICATES TO PAY THE COST OF SAID
IMPROVEMENTS and to take such a~tion thereon as may be deemed
necessary, expedient and for the best interests of the citizens
and taxpayers of the City of Boynton Beach;
And also for the purpose of considering and taking such action
as theCity Commission may deem necessary concerning the approval
and cooperation~of the City of Boynton Beach with the County Commission
of Palm Beach County, Florida for the construction of a super-highway
along the east coast of Florida and for th~ granting of an easement
for right-of-way purposes for such highway,

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITYOF BOYNTON BEACH HELD AT
CITY HALL ON THE 21ST DAY OF JULY~ 1947
At a special meeting of the-City Commission of the city of Boynton
beach, Florida held in the City Hal% in such municipality on the 21st
day of July A.D. 1957 at the hour of 10:GQ A. M. thereof, pmrsuant to
the attached hereto Waiver of Notice, there were present:
F. L. Purinton, Mayor
B. V. Tattersa!l, Vice Mayor
Clarence Benson, City Clerk
Thereupon the following proceedings werehad:
Commissioner Tattersall moved the adoption o.f the following
resolution:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH
A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORID~ P~RT~INING TO RIGHT-OF-WAYWITHIN SAID
CITY FOR A FOUR-LANE HIGH~AY
t' ~EREAS.~ ~ proposed route for a four-lane super-highway
nrough the City of Boynton Beach along the east side o~ th~ runs
Seaboard
~irline Railwayri~ht-of-~ay$ and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach believes
that the proposed location of said super highway is the best and most
practical location fo~ the same~ now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. Tha= the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florlda~
desires to cooperate in every way possible wit~ the Co-~uty of Palm Beach
and the State ~f Florida in ~he construction of the super- highway along
the east coast of Florida.
2. That the City Com~ission will grant to the County of Palm Beach
for State road purooses and easement over and across any lands owned by
the City of Bo~o~ Beach, and ~hich lie adjacent to and L~mediately east
of the Seaboard Air!in~ Railway right-of-way through the City of Boynton
Beach.'
PASSED AND ~DOPTED this 21st day of July, A.D. 19~7

Commissioner Benson seconded the motion for the adootion and
upon a discussion being had with County Commissioner Prince and
County Commissioner Lytan, the matter of the highway and proposed right-
of-~ay was fully discussed, and upon a vote being had~ such resolution
was unanimously adopted;
Thereupon, F. L. Pur~nton, as Mayor, declared such resolution
be regularly passed and adopted.
Commissioner Tatt~rsa!l presented to the City Commission a
proposed ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE
ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF EXTENSIONS AND ADDITIONS TO THE
~ATER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND AUTHORIZIN~ THE ISSUANCE
OF ~ATE~ REVENUE CERTIFICATES TO PAY THE COST OF SAID IMPROVE~NTS and
afte~ a discussionbeing had upon such ordinance and the contents
thereof. Tattersall moved the passage and adoption of
ordinance as an. emergency ordinance of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida - viz -
Thereupon such or~dinance was rea~ section by section and discussed
by the City Commission;
Thereupon such ordinance was read in full and further discussion
by the ~tty Commission.
Commissioner Benson seconded the motion for the passage and adoption
of such ordinance.
ThereUPon Mayor F.'L. Purinton, presiding~ called for a vote upon the
motibn for the passage and adoption and the following vote was had thereon:
Commissioner F. L. Purinton - aye
Commissioner B. V. 'Tattersall ? aye
Commissioner Clarence Benson - Ay~e
Thereupon Mayor Purinton declared such ordinance regularly pas~d
and adopted as an emergency ordinance of the City of Boynton Beach~ the
urgency of the passage of which is contained in such ordi~e, at the
meeting at which the same was introduced a~d passed and declared such
ordinance effective immediately. ~'
