Mr. & Mrs. Weborg and their attorney, Mr. Finch appeared before
the Commission asking that the Commission consider favorably a reques~
for a beer and wine.license at their place of business. The following
additional requests for beer and wine licenses within the City limits
were read~

George Laurel (next to Bond Cleaners)
Eainstruck & Purcaro - north of Stuarts
After a prolonged discussion, the Commissioners decided to investigate
each of these places of business and render their decision in ~8 hours.
Representatives of Shangrila Colonies came before the Commission
asking for information concerning water sunply, power, and building
restrictions. They plan to erect e model ~ome unit as soon.as
possible as they have 150 people coming down this season to look
over the site.
By letter the Boynton Liquor Store Inc. asked for Commission
approval to have their City license changed to include a bar for which.
they already had County approval. The Commission requested a letter ~
be written stating that when the Boynton Liquor Store Inc. obtained State
Hotel Commission approval, the changeover in City license will be
granted.
~ letter from-Mrs. S. P. Adams was read asking that the Commission
give her a permit to build a Trailor Camp in Lake Boynton Estates. Her
request was denied by the Commission.
The Pullman Company requested a reduction in the State Comptroller
valuation of their property in Boynton Beach but the Commission denied
this and requested a letter be written them stating that the Commission
is assessing at full value for the year 1957.
A letter was received from Palm Beach County asking that the City
redeem outstanding certificates against the following property recently
dedicated to the City.

The Commission approve~ payment of the ~mount due.
~ petition signed by approximately 20 City residents recuested
Commission action to clean up and repair the Shuffle Board Court area.
The Commission stated this work would be done as soon as the City
finishes the hurricane damage work.
The Commission approved a copy of the new cemetary plot deed and
it will be returned to the City Attorney for printing.
The Commissioners asked the Deputy Clerk to notify the Police Chief
and the Superintendent of Public Works by letter to refrain from any
purchases of any kind unless approved by the Commission.
A discussion followed regarding an outstanding bill of Beryl
~oolbright of $500.00 for engineering services. Mr. Woolbright agreed
to hold up further charges en work done for City Water Works imorovement~
until the City is ready to make these improvements at which time they will
be prepared to pay him further. In connection with th~s~ the Commission
requested a 'letter be written to the State Board of Health asking why
approval is being held up on plans the City filed with them on the new
water system.
A discussion followed concerning the tile roof at the Ocean Beach
Casino which was damaged by the hurricane. The Commission decided that
the roof is to be tile.

by Commissioner Benson and seconded by Mayor Purinton:

o2 Boynton Beach, in Pslm Beach County, Florida, it is necessary
t~hat the.Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, in Palm Beach
County, Florida, sit as a Board of Equialization in the ma~ter
of assessment of the property of such City for taxation purposes
for the.year 19565
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED~ that the Commission of the
City of BoyntonBeach, in Palm Beach County, Florida, shall sit
as a Board of Equalization-at the City Hall in the City of, Boynton
Beach~ in Palm Beach County, Florida, on the 23rd day of October,
1957, at the ho~r of lO:O0 A. M. of said day~ for the purpose of

City Clerk, the following resolution was unanimously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach~ a municipal corporation of the State of Florida, as follows:
(1) That the City of Boy~ton Beach~ a municipal corporation
of the State of Florida, does hereby contract and agree to enter into
~n agreement with Scott' M. Loftin and John W. Martin, as Trustees
Ra~.~ Company, and not
of the ~roperty of Florida East Coast ~ ~
individ~ally~ ~nerein and whereby the said City of Boynton Beach is
given the right and privilege to install, maintain and use a sub-
grade l0 inch cast iron water carrier pipe line carrying a maximum
water pressure of 70 po~_nds per square inch, installed in a 20 inch cast
iron casing pipe extending easterly and westerly across the right of
way of the Railway and under its tracks at Woolbright ~venue in
Boynton Beach, Florida, at a point located 886 feet southerly from
the Railway's Mile ~ost No. 313 from Jacksonville~ Florida, said
right of way having R total width of !00.0 feet at this location, being
50.0 feet in ~idth on each side of the cen~er line of the Railway~s
northbound main track; all as more full described and underthe further
terms and conditions each and every in copy of proposed agreement now

reference thereto made a part hereof.
(2) That the Mayor, with the attestation of the City Clerk, be
