The Oity Commission convened at a special seeting to
consider comDlaints on Tax Assessions on the twelth day of
Ja~uuary~ ~9~~at 7:30 P.~.
Those present were: B.V. Tattersall, ~ayor
W. T. ~oolbri~ht
Ralph D. Ross.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor and
amination and discussion of the complainzs made on Tax Assessions
followed. Nothing definite was decided az this zime regarding
adjustments.
The Commission approved, the trading of the Crysler car,
used by the Police Department, for a Pontiac with the Hodson Motor
Company of Hiami, aooroximate difference being $573.~0. Chief of
Police Charles Tatum-reoorted to the Con~ission that the Crysler
was in need of major re~airs and zhat it would be less expensive
over a oeriod of time to make the trade.
The Commission aooointed Eugene Smith as Deputy City
Clerk, Tax Collector and ~_~sessor and Depuzy Treasurer at a
salary of ~150.00 per month.
Mrs. Dorothy Williams was aopointed City Clerk, Tax
Tax Collector and ~ssessor and Treasurer.
The Commission approved a tax settlement to Bell S.
Buchanan on Lots i to 24, Block 8, Section 29, Lake Boynton
Estates, for &126.00, and Lots 25 to 29, Block 55A, Section 29,
Lake Boynton ~states, for ~35.68.
There being no further business az this~time, the
meeting wss declared adjournea by t~e ~ayor. ~
