The City Council convened at a regular meeting at the
City Hall~ July 6th~ at 7:30 P.M.

The minutes of the regular meeting of June 7th~ 1948,
were read and approved.
The Treasurer's reoort~ as of July lst~ 1948~ was
read and accepted as follows:

Ten Building Permits~ totalling $73~775.00, were
issued during the month of June. To~al fees recemved.
In accordance with recommendations made by Himes & Himes~
auditors~ in letter dated July lst~ which was read in the meev-
ing$ motion was made by Mr. Benson~ seconded by Mr. Ross~ that
$67~.22 be transferred from the Meter Deoositors' F-~ud to the
General Fund. Motion carried unaminously.
Motion was made by Mr. Purinton~ seconded'by Mr. Ross~
and un~minousiy carried~ authorizing adjusting entries as of
April 30th~ 19~8~ as pe~ attached letter~ recommended by Himes
and Himes~ auditors.
Mayor Tattersa!l stated thst 1700' of water main has
been laid by the City on north Federal Highway.

Baptist churches be abated as follows:

and carried that the following taxes be adjusted:

abatement: $29.70.
Receipt # 9D, D. S. Ross~ granting disability exemption Dec.

Letter was read from ~. J. D. Harless, regarding sale
of City owned lots, 12 to 18 inc, Block 63, Beverly Hills Add
No. 2,, end requesting price on same. It was decided to hold
this letter for the time being.
The Clerk was instructed to w~ite all oersons with
paid personal property taxes to ascertain if there were any ob-
Jection~ to the taxes as assessed, and to endeavor to collect
these outstanding taxes.
Motion was made by Mr. Ross~ seconded by Mr. Benson~-
and carried that personal prooerty taxes be abated on the
following businesses as they ~re no longer in operation:
