The.,Mayor announced tha5 a Special Meeting would be
held Friday~ Uecember lOth~ a~ 7:30 P.M. at the City Hall for
the ~urmose of canvassing the ballet of the General E±ee~mon" ~'
to be held December 7th.

asmuch as this lmcense has ex~ired~ $ motion was made by Mr.
Ross, seconded by Mr. Benson~ that when new reouest is made this
license be issued to the American Legion (Colo~ed)~ Wells Ave.
Mo~ion carried, unaminous!y.
A motion was made by Mr. Ross~ seconded by Mr. Benson
and unaminously carried that the request of Millis Miller for
Beer and Wine License for her Cafe on Railroad Avenue be granted.
Motion was made by Mr. ~urinton~ seconded by Mr. Ross
and unaminously carried that the following adjustments be made
on the 19~8 Tax Roll:
Lots 59 and 60~ Ridgewood~ Section 21~ be
assessed to L. L. Knight~ at a value of v
$100.00~ tax $3.10.
Mrs. Lillie Davies be granted $500.00 widow's exemption
on Lot 6~ Block By ~ence ~/D ~l: Sec. 28~ reducing tax
from $26.40 to $20.~90. Hardshio olea of Mrs. Navies
was r~ferred ~o the City Attorney For decision.

Motion was made by Mr. Benson~ seconded by Mr. Ross
that the State Road Deoartment~ Tallahas~ee~ Flo. be furnished~
a copy of the aD, ual aumlt of ~ne ~ity when it is recelvea.
Motion was made by Mr. Ross~ seconded by ~. Benson
that-the City donate $1~0.00 to the Americ~ Le '

Athletic Fund. Motion carried unaminously.
Mr. Arvel Stuart appeared before the Council with the
request that the City donate land to the American Legion~ suit~
able for an Ath!etic Fietd~ were admission may be charged~ and
night lighting installed. Following discussion~ motion was made
by Mr. Benson~ seconded by Mr. Ross~ and un~minously carried~ that
the City underwrite the installation of electric lights (costing
approximately $1~000.00) a~ Oence Park~ provided the conditions
of the deed to Pence Park ere complied with. The outlay for this
expense is to be pro-rated amoung various civic and fraternal
organizations in the City.
A motion was made by Mr. Ross~ seconded by Mr.
Purinton and unaminously carried that the City Council re-
commend the fine oaid by Lester Strickland amounting to
$1~.00 be remitted if the City Judge concurred.
Motion was made by Mr. ?urlnton~ seconmea by Mr.
Benson and unaminously carried~ that a valuation of $6.00 per
front foot be olaced on City owned land in Boynton Heights~ on
Lake Avenue.
There being no further business~ the meeting adjourned.
