The Minutes of the regular meeting of January I7~th, 1949 were read and adopoe~. The Minutes of the Special meeting of J~nuary 31st, of the Council and' the Zoning Board were read and adopted. This money is to be earmarked for chase of water pipe. Clow & Sons for 3,000' of 4~' pipe at ~l~20 per foot. Motion was made by ~r. Ross, seconded by Nr. No. l, and balance off Lots 7 & 8, Block 9, Boynton Heights, amounting to a refund of Motion was made by Mr. Ross, ssconded by DIr. Hood, and carried, that F. R. Clement, holder of tax sale certificate #3625, which has been redeemed by the owner of the property, be ref~muded ~258.41, the amount due. A letter was read from ~r. Joe D~ Harless, owner of Laurel Hills 2nd Addition, regarding zoning of this property for trailers. Following discussion, Mr. Hatless~ letter was referred to the Zoning Board for recommendation. A letter was/~ead from Mrs. ii.ghosts, whistles, etc used by the switching at the Boynton Station. the Railroad, and enclose Bertha A. Hartley, regarding Seaboard Airline Railroad, while The Clerk was instructed to write a copy of Mrs. Hartley's letter. RESOLUTION. WHEREAS, in the levy of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, for the taxable year 194V, certain errors have become apparant wherein certain lauds in the City of Boynton Beach Florida, have been levied against,such lands excessive baxes, aud taxes in error; and ~I~REAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and the tax payers thereof, that such taxes as shall have been levied in error and in excess of the proper amount, be abated, insofar as such error ~nd ex- cessive amounts shall appear; .... w w, ~ · : by the City Council of the NOW THERE~ OR=. (Resolution attached) Motion was made by Mr. Hood, seconded by Mr. Wooibright, and un~minously carried that the Delray Beach Schools be permitted vo ~use Pence Park Ball Field for school g~mes, ~rovided they do not con- f±ict with the needs of the needs of vhe Sy~_ton Beach So~ools~ and that the Delray Beach School reciprocate by granting the Boynton Schools use of their field if needed.
