The City Council convened at a regular meeting at the
City Hall, At V:30 P.~g., ~ay 16th., 1949o

The meeting was called to order by mayor Purinton
Ninutes of the regular meeting of Nay ~nd., i~9 were
read. motion made by Mr. ~oolbright, seconded by Mr. Hood
that minutes be adopted as read.
~inutes of the special meeting of Kay ~tho, 19~ were
read. Notion made by ~r. Ross, secauded by ~fr. Woolbright
that minutes be adopted as read.
~,~otion was made by Nr. Hood, secmaded by Nr. Wootbright
ar~ unaminously carried to have one meeting a month beginning
the first of June meeting, excepting when special meetings are
called. This is a period from June t~hrough September.
Notion was made by ~r. Ross, seconded by Nr. gnook and
ua4~minously carried that arrar, gements for Nr~ Daugharty to
go to Canada to escort PaLm Tree. Also, the City ~o pay
one-half costs of signs on truck to Shaeffer Sign Co.
Notion was made by ~fr~ Hood~econded by ~. Ross and
-~aminously carried to have City Attorney draw up agreement
with the Town of 0cesn Ridge relative for F~ e anm Police
protection for one year at the cost of $1~00.00. ~ne Fire
Dept. will be credited $~00.00 and the Police Dept~ will be
credited ~00.00o

Two citizens of Briny Breezes interested in obtaining city
water supply appeared before the council, A wa~er certificate or
bond would have to be issued. 75~ would be paid back to the
certificate or bond holder and 25~~ would be withheld for maintenanc

Two citizens of Ridge Grove appeared before the Council
asking for permission to be granted to use the City garbage d,smp
for disposal of garbage, and trash, No definite agreement being
made, For future com_munication contact Mr, Joe W. Cawthorm_e

~Ar, jones of PaLm Beach Health Depsmtment appeared before
the council relative to garbage conditions in the City, These
~onditions will try to be corrected, A piece will be published
in the local newspaper,

unaminously carried that' the following resolution be adepted:
Resolution
Whereas: As an expression of good will toward the
C~tizens of Montreal, Canada, by the Citizens of Boynton Beach,
Florida;
Be It Resolved: This Conmlission hereby extends to
His Worship Camillien Houde, CBE, Mayor of Montreal', md His
Family a cordial invitation to visit our City as our Guests
for the Purpose of enjoying a round of Surf Bathing, Deep
Sea Fishing, Cmlf and other winter vacation activities.
