A Regular Meeting of the Board of Town Commissioners of the Town of Boynton, Florida, was held at the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, Present: January 5th, 193V at ~:30 o~clock P.M. H. D. Stevens, Mayor, N. Mo Weems, Vl~e J. P. Bowen, Tov~n Clerk. The above constituti~4 the entire Board of Town Commissioners of the Town of Boynton, Florida. The mmnuues of the Regular Meeting of December 18, 1958 were read an~ ap~rovem. The minutes of the Speci~d- ~eeting of December 18, 19~ were read and approved. Upon Motion made by Commissioner Bowen, seconded by Com- missioner ~eems a~m unanimously carrmed, the following b_~s were approved for payment: SHORTY~S SERVICE STATION RILEY M. BARNES RILEY M. Honorable Mayor and Town Commission-of Boynton, Fla., Boynton, Fla. Gentlemen: It has come to the attention of the Boynt0n Beach commission that the grounds of the Boynton Casino have been used recently for the parki~ of trailers used as livir~ quarters and it has been reported to our commission that the caretakers of the Casino are soliciting such business for the future. Our commission have instructed me to inform you that the use of property for that purpose in the district where the Boynt6n Casino is Ibcated, is forbidden by the Ordinances of Bsynton Beach and to respectfully request that you issue suc~ instructions to your caretaker there am will prevent its use for that purpose in the future. D. S. Ross, Boynton Beach Casino Custodian, with the advice tb~t the Casino property is subject to the Ordinances of the To~ of Boynton Beach. The Co~¢.ission also agreed to re-imburse Mrs. ROss to the ~xoent of $18.00 for cleaning up the Casmno grounds in anticipation of such trailer business. Dear Sir'. i am instr~acted by the Commission of the C~ty of Lake Forth to extend to you, your Official family and the people of your co--unity an invitation to participate in and enjoy the recreational facilities now available in our town. The Clerk was instructed to acknowledge receipt of the above letter with the tha~cs of the Con~nissioners on behalf of themselves ~ud the Citizens of Boynton. Jan. 5, 193V~ I am attaching hereto sketches of four signs which i have had made and painted to direct the high~y traffi6 and ad- vertise Boynton Inlet. it is my desire to erect these signs North, South and at the corner of the traffic light as more speci- fically outlined at bottom of each sign on attached sketches. I hereby respectfully request your permission to erect these signs as above outlined it being agreed that they will be erected in a stable and wor~nnanship mariner and maintained in good condition. Polhamus was granted permission to erect the signs as requested. It was mutually agreed that effective at once, ~. H. Partin assume Police Duties only, at the salary of $12~.00 per month, M~. Partin to have custody of the Police Car and to make a monthly report to the Comission. It was also agreed that Zoll Na~oerry appointed ~ater Superintendent, to assume all with the Water Department and street and other outside work under the direction of the Vice-Mayor,: salary to remain the same as at present.
