(S~aX) The above Motion was seoonde~ by Commissioner Stevens and being p~t to a vote, tho following vote was had thereon: Commissioner Nutting "AYE" A Geme~al discussion was had in ~eferenee t* the Federal Unemployment Relief Loan, and the advisability of erecting a sto_~m proof bulldimg in connection the~ewith. 0n account of the meagre infe~mation at hand it was suggested that a Committee be appointed to investigate more fully, the te~ms of the Loan. Upon Notion made by Commissioner Bowen, seconded by Commissioner Nutting and duly ca, tied, Mayor H. D. Stevens and M~. J. j. ~illiams were appointed to make an investigation and ~eport the results to the Commission at the next Meetimg. Commissioner Stevens made a Motion that the following Resolution be passed and adopted: RESOLUTION: At a Special Meeting of the Board of Town Commissioners of the Tov~ of Boynton, Florida, hetd July 26, 1932 the sum of 0n~ Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars ($128e00) was appropriated for the pm~pose of building a G~and Stand at Pence Pa~k. It is impossible for me to be in Boynton when these taxes a~e assessed, and I think that on Lot ~, Block 10 onwhich you have assesse~ valuation ef $3500~O0'to~be~exerbitanto ~ also think the assessed valuation cf Lets $, A, ~, 6, V & 8, Block 11 at $328,00 each is way beyond th~ v~luation of these pr~pertles am would therefore put in a p~otest that these p~operties be assesse~ at a lower valuation. The North ~ ef Let 111, as ~hown on Assess~nt Roll, Page 191, for 1931, is value~ at $2~370.00. We'would ~er~ainly be very glad to sell this lot for hell ~hat figure. The o~her lots seem to be assessed on a fai~ basis but the above mentioned lot~ we believe is entirely out of line.
