A SpeCial Meeting of the BOard of Town Commissi~ers of
the Town of Boynton, Florida, was held at the Town Hall on
Monday Evening October ~O, tg~ at 8:00 o'clock P. M.
P~a~ent: H, D. Stewens, Mayor
J. P. Bowen, Town Clerk.
The above constituting tP~ majority of the BOard of~
Town Commissioners of the Town of Boynton, Florida.
This meeting was called for the purpose of discussing
the matter of an Auditor being appointed by the State Comp-
troller to investigate the affairs of the Town; al~o any other
matters that might come before the meeting.
Du~g the discussion it was stated tD~t so far as could
be ascertained,~ no petition had been filed with the Governor
requesting an audi~, and further,~t~at the Taxpayers are op-
posed to such an audit at this t~ime, inasmuch as the Town is
without funds with which to pay for same.
N~. Newman To Miller, Attorney, sta~ed that~e would
write a letter to the Governor, requesting an~expta~uation
this audit. ~
Upon motion made by Commis~ioner Bowen secosded by Com-
missioner Steven~ and duly carried the TaxCol!eo~t~r~of the
o ton, Florida, was i et ted ? coe t of
1~81 Taxes in cash and 8~% in Bond Credit~rovided, however,
that current taxes are paid in cash at the~e~e time.
~ne 1933 Tax Roll with a total assessed valuation
of One Million One Hundred Thirty~seven Two Hundred Thi~ty-
Three ($!,13V,2S3.00) Dollars was approved andaceepted.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
