secor~ed by Commissioner Bowen and un~uimQusly carrie~.
The ~'~i~tes of~the Special Meeting held December 8, 1933
were read and approved upon motion made by Commissioner Menzel
seconded by Commissioner Bowen ~ud ~un~-nimously carried.
Upon motion made by Commissioner Bowen, seconded by Com-
missioner Stevens and unanimously carried, the following bills
were approved to be applied on water bills owing the~own of

was placeA on it's second reading. Commissioner ~enzel moved
the adoption of Ordinance No. 138 which was seconded by Com-
missioner Bowen and upon being put to a vote, the following
vote was had thereon:~

Commissioner Stevens, as Mayor PresidingS, declared
No. 1~8 duly passed and adopted. ~
F. N. Bro~a appesred before the Commission and stated
that inasmuch as his t~xes in the Town of Boynton had been
greatly 'increased during the last~ year he thought the Tow~
should resume payment of $50.00 per month as rental for the
building used as the To~ Hall retroactive to December 1~1933
and albhough he did not expect to receive the c[~h he would
· apply the amounts to be due him for rental~on taxes owing by
him to the Town. The Corm~_ission~vis~d ~ Br~wn that they
would be able to answer his proposal in a few d~ys.
A discussion was had regarding the possi~ility of obtain-
lng assistance from the Civil_ Works Admm~mstr~tion for the pur-
pose of erecting a Comm~mity Building and Town Hall. Mr.
Harry B~nson explained to tb~ Co~ission~ and
the methods by which smme could be secured.

Thereupon the
Mayor appointed V~. J, Daly, V;mo P. Somerville, Harry Benson~
Claude Ross, Frank Nutting, Charles Austin and Fred Benson as
Committee for laying out projects of the Town of Boynton,
to be paid for with C. W. A. Funds.
Upon motion made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by
Commissioner Bowen and unanLmously carried, the following
Resolution was passed and adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Town Com~nissioners of the
Town of Boynton, Florida, that the Civil ¥~orks &dministration
Council of Palm Beach Co~uty be requested to furnish the nec-
essary labor for the purpose of cleaning and clearing lands
adjacent to the main streets of the Tov~ of Boynton;
to be~paid for with C. ~. A. ~nds. ~

THIS AGREEMENT, ma~e by and between th~ gt~t~ Road
Department of Florida, hereinafter called the ~Departmentm, and
the ~eau of Public Roads~ U.S. Department of Ag~i~ulture,
hereinafter called the ~Bure~um~ ~ud the Town of Boynton, ~-~lo~ida
hereinafter called the mTown~,
~]~.I T N E S S E T H:
V~EA~, the Department, through the aid and assistance
of the Bureau, desires to construct that section of State Road
No. ~ consisting of a bridge and approaches over Boynton Canal
in the Tow~ of BoyntonS ~nd
V~LEREAS, the Bureau has m~de certain rules and regulations
requiring that the Town or Department will not. permit any en-
croachments upon the right of way of said Highway within the Town
Limits, no~ will the To~rn pass any laws, rules, reg-~lations o~
ordinances setting u~easenable speed limits or ~ke such traffic
rules, laws, regulations or ordinances which will penalize traffic
on said street over and along the streets where said proposed
construction work is to be done, and favor the traffic on a cross
or abutting street, or will pass any rules, laws, regulations or
ordinances which will hinder or make obstruction of any kind to
the free movement of traffic and ~ake said movement of traffic
second~y to traffic o~F abutting or cross streets.
NO~, THEREFOHE, In consideration of said Del~rtment, with
the aid arid assistance of the Bureau, constructin~ ~ud surfacing
samd sej~t~on of Hmghway, ~he Town agrees, obligates ar_d binds
itself tb prevent any encroact~ment within the right of way limits
of said HighwayS and i~rthermore, agrees to not pass any laws,
rules, regulations or ordinances muhich would be unreasonable.

Boynton, Florida, and copies of this contract be filed with the
State Road Department of Florida, and a copy be filed with the
Bureau of Public Roads, Uo S. Department of Agriculture.
