The minutes of the Regular Meeting held August 7th~ 1934
were read and approved upon motion made by Commissioner Bowen,
seconded by Commissioner .~enzel and unanimously ca~riedo
Upon mot ion made by. Com~nis sioner Bowen ~ se~c onded by Com-
missioner Stevens, the following Resolution was duly passed and
adopted:

hereby authorizes, directs and orders Florida PoWer & Light
Company to relocate and serve one (1) Street lights
described in the attached schedule of street lights to be
relocated and served in accordance with the te.~ms and con-
ditions of the Municipal Street Lighting Agreement dated
MArch 2, 1926 and Supplementary Agreements thereto, if any,
now in effect between the Town and Florida Power & Light
Compmuy.
2. That the Town Clerk of and on behalf of the Town
is hereby authorized and directed to deliver a certified
copy of this Resolution to Florida Power & Light C~mpany.

Upon motion made by Commissioner Menze!, seconded by
Commissioner Bowen and unanimously carried, the Police Depart-
merit was authorized to block off 0cern ~venue between the
Dixie Highway and PaLmetto Street, if ~ecessary at such time
~ or times that the Palm Beach County,.Boy's Band entertains the
Citizens of Boynton with a Concert.
Upon motion made by Con~nissioner Stevens~ seconded by
Commissioner Bowen and un~nlmously carried, the following
Resolution was duly passed ~nd adopted:
RESOLUTION
~tEREAS, the Town of Boynton is indebted to various per-
sons, firms ~nd corDorations, evidenced-by open account and Notes,
aggregating the sum of Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-six
Dollars and Seven~y-t~ree Cents ($19,996.~3), and,
V~IERF~S, it is deemed advisable and to the best interests
of the citizens and taxpayers of the Tov~n of Boynton that the
Town Commission devise a means of liquidating these accounts,
snd~
¥~HEREAS~ it is deemed expedient that the said accounts be
used ~ud accepted from taxpayers of ~the Tow~ of BoyDton in the
payment of Ad Valorem t~xes heretofore levied.
~., THER~EFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Tax Collector
be, and he' hereby is authorized, ordered and dirscted to accept
from owners of property which is 16cated in the Town of Boynton,
Florida, evidences of indebtedness due and owing said taxpayers
by the Town of Boynton in payment of the said taxes, at face
v~iue o
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED~ that the Tov~n Treasurer be~ and
he hereby is authorized, ordered and directed to keep an accurate
account of all such ~axes receipted for by the Tax Collector in
the manner hereinabove set forth showing clearly on separate
pages of'the ledger of the Town of Boynton, the proper amount of
the ~aid sums which would be due the Interest and Sinking Fund~
· the ag~g.'rega~e amount of said sums due the Interest and ~inkiug
Fund shal& be deemed a suspended account, or a loan~_Erom the
Interest .and Sinking Fund to the General Fund, to be repaid to
the Interest and ginking Fund at a future date when the General
Fund has on hand surplus mortice.
Commissioner Stevens made a motion that the cocoanuts on
the trees in Coco-nut Row be contributed to the .~merican Legion
to be made into souvinirs for the ~erican Legion Convention to
be held at Miami in October. TP~s motion was seconded by Com-
missioner ~enzel and duly carried.
Motion made by Commissioner Bowen, seconded by Commission-
er Menzel and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was
duty passed and adopted:
RESOLUTION
the Town owns a desk and bookcase which are not
now in use, and,
'~HEREAS, Mr. ~. Po Somerville has offered ~he sum of
Twenty-five Dollars ($28.00) for said desk a~d bo*kcase, with
the provision that should the Town l~ve use for the desk and/or
bookcase prior to August 28, 1935, s~ne will be returned to~:~ae
Town upo~refund of the purchase ~rice, and,
~IERE~S, the offer made by Mr. Somerville
a fair price for such desk and bookcase..

NOW, TH~EF0?~E BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Town Com-
m~ss~-oners of the Town of Boyn~on, Florida, that~ such desk and
bookcase be and the same are hereby ordered sold to ~. ~. P.
Somerville for the sum of ~' = ~
Twenty~mv~ Dollars ($~o.00)~ with the
provision that should the desk and/or bookcase be needed by the
Town at any time prior to ~gust 28, 1938, same will be returned
to the Town upon reftuud of the purchase price°
Upon m tmon made by Commissioner Bowen~ seconded by
Commissioner ~enzel ~ud unanimously ca~rm~d, a sum not to
exceed Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) was app~oprmated for the put-
pose of having plans ~awn ~ud filed in oonnectlon with the
proposed building of a fire house with FERA aid.
Commissioner Stevens made a motion that Deputy Clerk~
Treasurer, and Tax Collector~ A.
cation to take place during September. This motion was sec-
onded by Commissioner Bowen and unanimously carried.
Upon motion made by Commissioner Stevens, seconded by
Commissioner Bowen and unanimously carried, ~. ~. S. Shepard
was granted permission to use the east end of Lake Street in
Lakeside Gardens for farming purposes.
