Page 1 of 1 CITY ROTATING EXHIBITION RE UEST The Boynton Beach Art in Public Places welcomes organizations, individuals and collectors to exhibit their work in the City. Rotating exhibits are located in the City of Boynton Beach Cultural Center 125 East Ocean Avenue, Boynton Beach Art Gallery- In the newly renovated Cultural Center's 1st and 2nd floors 12"wide hallways is a 2,112 total square foot space with modern lighting that evenly illuminates artwork on the two 9.6'high x X 88' long walls. The Art Gallery is where the Art in Public Places displays rotating exhibitions and hosts opening receptions in neighboring classrooms and/or event space.The exhibitions feature local to international artists that contribute to thought provoking, intriguing and educational topics that will attract visitors to the City of Boynton Beach Hours:TBD • This space can accommodate up to TBD artworks depending upon size. • Space has a flexible exhibition system. • Space has good lighting. • Can accommodates 2-D and 3-D wall art only (limited hanging artworks) • Limited display of artwork on pedestals in the hallway on the 2nd floor only Please prepare a proposal to present to the Arts Commission (City Advisory Board) that includes the information below. The proposal should be no larger than a 1 MG (or less) emailable pdf, Word or Pages document. The Arts Commission meets monthly on the second Thursday. The proposal deadline document, sent to Public Art Manager, is due 10 days prior to the Arts Commission meeting date. The proposal should provide the following information: 1. Organization • Name • Mission statement • Address • Website and social media addresses ( include links) • Phone number • Main contact person 2. Exhibition purpose, theme or objective. 3. How will this exhibit benefit the City and organization or individual? 4. How will the exhibit attract visitors? 5. How will the exhibit be marketed by you/your group? (The City will create and distribute press releases and exhibit notices to post on website and place in City facilities, on cultural organization websites and in publication listings. 6. Exhibition timeframe request (3 month period). 7. Requested date/time of reception. 8. Approximate number of artworks and artists. • Artworks needs to be ready to hang on exhibition hanging system. 9.
