4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
5 FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
6 MANAGER TO SIGN AN ANNUAL SERVICE AGREEMENT
7 WITH MOTOROLA, INC., PROVIDING FOR THE CONTINUED
8 MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF THE CITY'S RADIO
9 TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS IN THE AMOUNT OF
0 $141,502.00; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

3 WHEREAS,the City maintains a radio telecommunications system that provides the
4 Police Department, Fire Rescue Department and other local government entities with radio
5 communications; and
6 WHEREAS, Motorola, Inc., manufactured and installed our current system which
7 consists of computer consoles,portable radios, antennas and operational readiness; and
8 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, upon the
9 recommendation of staff, deems it to be in the best interests of the City residents to enter into
0 a Service Agreement with Motorola, Inc., for the continued maintenance and repair of the
1 City's radio telecommunication systems.
'2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
3 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,FLORIDA,THAT:
4 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
5 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
6 hereof.
'7 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida hereby
'8 approves the annual Service Agreement for the continued maintenance and repair of the City's
'9 radio system between the City of Boynton Beach and Motorola, Inc., in the amount of
:0 $141,502.00 commencing December 1, 2020 through November 20, 2021.

Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to sign the annual Service Agreement,
;2 a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit"A."
;3 Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
