Fuller, Building Official Mr. Robert Largent, City Planner Mr. Olds called the regular meeting of the Plamning & Zoning Board to order at 7:30 P~M. g~oproval of/~Lnutes Minutes of April 5, 1972 Mr. Kostner mOved that the minutes of April 5, 1972 be accepted as written, seconded by Mrs. Moore° Motion unanimously carried. MinUtes of April 11, 1972. Mr. Kostner moved that the minutes of April 11, 1972 be accepted as written~ seconded by Mrs. Moore. Motion carried unanimously. Approval of Plat~ Section VIII~ Leisurevil.le- legal - Sec. 29 T¢;S 45S. Rge. 43 East. Mr. Olds stated that this was before the Board at one time for tentative approval and is now before the Board for final approval oft he plat for Section VIII. He read a letter.fromBrockway~ Owen and Anderson Inc., Engineers for BoyntonWest Development. Mr. Ayers stated that at that time the Board~made several recommendations and ~hey had made corrections to meet our requests. The Board reviewed ~the plat of Leisureville and discussed same. Mr. Weaver read the dedication on the plat~ they are dedicating the canal to the public. Lake Worth Drainage will not take the responsibility for it which means that the City will have to take care of it. This should be brought to the attention of the City Council. He would ~commend that the City firm u~9 as to who will be responsible from L-26 canal up to Summers lake and the lake itself~ Mr. Weaver moved that this matter be brought to the attention of the City Council before approval is given, that the responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of Summer Lake and: the c~I competing- it to L-26 should be determined~ so~' thg.t- tker~ ~il-1 b-e no qUestion~ Seconded by Mr. Kostner and Motion carried 6-0. Minutes .of the Ptann'!ng Zoning Board 4-24-72 ' ~g0roval of Leisureville Sec. 8 Continuted. Mr. Ayers stated that this plat includes changes we had suggested. They were planning to build a large recreation building to accomodate a large meeting area, andhe wonders if they.still planned to do this. Most of the suggestions that Were made have been carried out, we recommended golf proshop and par~ng clarification and it has been done. Motion ca~-Tied 6-0. Mango Heights..Subdivision Addition Mr. Ken Murray, Mr. Teagle, Ym. Carlton were present for ~Mango Heights. Ym. Carlton, engineer stated that they have been before~this Board on two separate occasions, and were told that drainage was beyond the perVua: of this Board. At that point we were. · sent' to the City Council for presentation. The question of drainage ws~ raised by Mr~ Hopkins and Mr. Clark. ' Mr. Teagle stated that there are basically three ways to dispose of the water,; into the retention area with evaporation-percO!ation into ' the subdivision only, install system compatible, with drainage system of the City. The City wants us to post a bond that compatible drainage will be installed but they are not in a position to say when they will have money in the budget for their part.. He does not think it~ is fair to have Mr.. Murray's. grandchildrer~ come up with the money to · put this system in when'the City gets around to getting the money. He presented the plan to run the water into~retention basins. After presenting this he asked for preliminary approval of this technique of solving the drainage problem. Mr. Ayers felt they would be creating a problem with the lakes as it is a single family development and will have a lot of children around~ Mr. Largent r~adthe letter from Mr~ Clark regarding ~d~is drainage problem~ ~Mr. Teagle stated this would be onlya'~mporary solution until the City can pUt in drain- agefor thewhole'City. · Mr. Ayers moved that this matter be-tableduntil we secure more engineering information from the City Engineer and Mr. Hopkins~ Motion carried 6-0. ' ' -Mr. Kostner is concerned about making it deep enough to hold water continuously as small as the area is could create a back slide. go Mr. Carlton asked where theyshould~from'here? The Boardwould look at the plan only after the Engineer and Public ~orks have given their opinions. Meeting adjourned.
