Dr. R. '~RABOP~
,%,[eetin~ called to order at 7:55 Pj~. Workshop called to reconsider areas worked
at public hearings.
Started at North City L£~dts and working South.
}~/llicent Properties at present C-I~ disctmsed change to R-3 proposed.
Mr. Ayers has had several complaints on C~is property and thinks it would be
possible to arrange a meeting with this comps_ny to disuuss these.
?ir. Sarno said if this was co~anercial, only Site Plan Approval would prevent anyone
from building anything they want. ~e further cautioned that changing zoning from
Commercial might open City to a suit as these people have had this property for
considerable time waiting for it to be developed. FurtJ~er discussion on advisabil-
ity of leaving as commercial. No motion to change so ~411 remain as R-5 on
proposed map.
Second area discussed was Lake Addition area and strip along intracoastal in. that
vicinity.
~,Pr. Ayres again brought out that area near intracoastal has soil problem~ and is
very swampy. %~fould cost considerable to develop.
k~. Sarno said Boynton mud Lee ~L~nor Isles have pretty well taken care of this
problem but tJmt area from back of Kwik Chek up threugh this area would cost a
lot to use. This land is still very low and swampy. It would be very expensive to
develop.
r~r. Weaver had previously stated that costs were prohibitive for single family
development. ~
~r. Sarno suggested area along intra~zoastal revert back to P-lA. Stated this
could be a holding zone and if a developer decided to btrf for multiple family or
high-rise, residents could then decide if they wanted, to sell out and ms~e a
profit.

down grade the surrounding areas. ~;m. Sarnos': ~d he dich~'t object to hearing f ~
legiti~.~mte complaints but that this is a crowd dictating te the Council and should
