Zoning Board meetins called to order at 7:55 P.N.. A motion was made by~,¥.
LivLngston to accept the minutes of fl~e last meeting as presented, seconded
by~%~r. Skeels. All in favor.
Old business stated by Col. l~ehrell: "I have something under old business th. at
needs clarification. At o~r last regular meeting tJ~is Board listened to rezoning
request on a parcel aloP~ 23rd Ave. ~,rJng the ~iscussion it was stated by
Tomberg *J~at a portion of land approximately SOO feet also alon~ 2$rd Avenue had
been rezoned R3A by a prior Boara-and that the proper constructxon would be
presently t~.d~l~.,ay. Several local residents stated that ~le building~under
c°nStruction~oo close to the present road~,ay and that no buffer zone had
been provided o~er ~han 23rd Aven~e. Upon being questioned on this point~'
J. Sarno, ~e builder stated ~hat there ~,ms ~2 f~t from %he rear of the
buildings to ~e rear lot li~e~ then a 10 ~Ot b~.~fer zone whidl would be land=
scaped wi~h trees~ ~hen 15 feot ' '%
rl~t: of way for future four laning of 25rd ~ve.
~is would then be a total of 67 feet from the rear of the b~ilding to the
..... edge of ff~e pre~ent roa&qay. Dr. ~m~hey questioned ~hat ~'~.is ,.,z~ so and
it was much close~, f~. Sar~.o t~ere upon casti§at?d ~.:r. mmn~ey for not ~nc~,ing
what he was talking about ~nd further qu~stioned his ability to be on the Board.
Since then ~.~. S]ceels, Dr. }~nthey and ~..~self again visited the area at different
times To v~rify the distance. I~ on December 20 ~ persormlly measured the distance
and it was 57 feet ~nd %here was no 10 foot buffer zone. It will b~hoove Mr.
Sarno ~to ~l,ave..q~.?s,~d ~. Nan~ley, when he was distincft/y in error gnd should
have, as r~le ~ttxlaer Known be~ter. ~%~.en he was questioned on ~his point of
distance, we believed h~n to be accurate and truthful~ but ,~fortunate!y we were
mistaken. We, on the Board, have in the past relied on truth in statements to
%he Board, perhaps too much so~ I w~ald like these coz]fronts to be included in the
minutes of ~is ~ting a~.~ am hopeful that ~r. San~o will acl~lowledge his error
~.~ sad make the proper ap~!ogy to Dr.
